About
Clear Creek Golf Course is a flat, wide-open links-style track loaded with water and bunkers. The only sort of elevation changes you'll experience come from the ravines that route through the course and the undulating greens.
The back nine is the more challenging, spiced up by some interesting par 3s and two outstanding par 5s. Clear Creek's 11th hole goes 555 yards and involves an approach over a ravine, and No. 13 is a 584-yard monster that double-doglegs to a skinny green framed by bunkers.

I enjoy playing at this course. However, a Marshall is much needed to help enhance pace of play.
Good fun course, just beed better upkeep
Course is usually in decent shape, staff is friendly and carts with gps are great. Layout is challenging enough to keep you engaged but also fun, just don't go to the tall grass or your ball is lost. The only thing that needs to be addresses is restrooms mid-course, they have the facilities but are closed and not in good shape.
Course is on okay shape. Fairways are very firm. Bunkers are very hard...do not expect soft fluffy sand. Greens will let the ball check only after a large bounce.

open course so the wind was a factor, fun to watch a 100 yard chip get blown 30 yards off line. 'A tournament ahead slowed play more than it should have but hay, I wasn't in a hurry.
Clear Creek
Good course, great conditions and value for money. Only irritant I found were the flies all around you and the golf cart, its seasonal I've been told.
Good well maintained greens and overall conditions at the tee box and fairways is also good.

The dense bushes ate several golf balls, love bugs were swarming everywhere, greens & course were in good shape.
Very surprised
I was very surprised at the condition of the course! Here it is, end of March, prime growing season, and the greens were terrible. I know they had been sanded but there were bare spots all over the greens, which I have seldom seen on this course. I have always said this has been my favorite course in Houston, so it was disappointing to play it that way!
Clear Creek - Crab Grass / Pace
As much as I love this links track, the lack of decent pace and crab grass that has infected many of the greens makes this course difficult to want to come back to. The course has so much potential, but I don't feel that the management has taken notice of the actual course conditions. There are no marshalls, and a 3 hour back 9 is darn near unbearable. Ill continue to come back, because I love this course, but it's so hard to recommend the same to my friends when it takes you 5 and half hours to get thru a round.
