Osprey Point Golf Club - Hawk/Falcon Course
About
Located in South County Regional Park, Osprey Point Golf Club offers the first course in Florida to be designated as an Audubon International Classic Signature Golf Course. You would never be able to tell from looking at it now, but the site was farmland before it was used for shellrock mining and then abandoned. The landscape had been overgrown but the Parks and Rec Department of Palm Beach County transformed it into a lush and scenic course. The golf course is a 27-hole layout that can be played in three different 18-hole combinations. All of the tees, greens, and fairways feature environmentally friendly Seashore Paspalum. The Hawk/Falcom combination has a gently rolling landscape enhanced with native vegetation. The elevation changes are subtle but they still provide a few tricky lies.

Lots of fun
First time playing here, the course was in great shape and the greens were very true. I played the Hawk and Falcon courses and was very happy with everything. Got paired up with a couple from there who were great fun to play with. Will definitely play the course again and recommend it.
Great public course
Challenging. Very well kept. GPS would be nice but I'm splitting hairs. Will definitely be back to play again
Stay tuned on the GPS front. We look forward to seeing you again very soon.
Tim was very rude and unfriendly
When we got to the pro shop Tim gave us attitude and treated us with zero respect and did not feel welcomed what so ever. At the end of the round he was talking to us with tone when we were just using the bathroom and left the cars in front of the pro shop for 2 minutes. I highly recommend the course and practice facility but really have to work on having more welcoming staff.
Staff Review
Course is great but the staff is not up to par. Especially some of the workers inside the pro shop some guy named Tim made somewhat of the experience unpleasant.
Rude new staff members
I've played here multiple times in the past year and have loved it every time but this time was different. Tim(works inside the shop ) was extremely rude to our entire group. He was more concerned with eating his lunch instead of checking us in, he finally checked me in and ignored my request for rangeballs, when I asked him for rangeballs again he proceeded to roll his eyes. After the round when we returned he screamed at us for where the cart was parked. I told him there was a nicer way to ask some to move a cart and he decided to use explicit language. The course is great but I refuse to be treated this badly, won't be back
Getting stuck behind 4 some of poor golfers searching for balls in the brush and water. Dropping additional balls after shanking one 6 feet to the left of their initial shot. Rate of play needs to be regulated better
FIRST.... I don't golf much, but have played some nice places.
I'm not a big time golfer, so take this review accordingly. I thought conditions were phenomenal. Greens were beautiful, and the fairways just as good. You would have no problem putting from off the green the fairways are so perfectly manicured. If you're not a good golfer, you will loose many balls. Fairways not super tight, but not much room either. Not a ton of water, but if you go OB, forget it. Ball is gone, plus watch for critters as it is on the edge of the glades. The OB areas are THICK bushes and swamp. Pace of play was FAST..... which angers me off as I'm out to enjoy myself. I know there's gotta be a middle ground, but golf is a game of leisure and relaxation. Found myself getting stressed trying to play fast. Anyway, really liked the course.
Fun Course
Funcourse, good layout, great bang for the buck. Course is in good shape
Like a Private Country Club
Top of the list to play when in South Florida
It's like I joined a Country Club
Highly recommended
Greens fees
I'm really troubled that I paid $24 + tax thru GolfNow. Everywhere at the course there was signage indicating a rate of $15 + tax due to aerification. This is for 3 days. 5/10-5/12.
Played the falcon-raven 18... great staff and layout... would need better yardage markers but other than this it's an amazing course... 42 $ on a weekend can't beat that for a course of this caliber
Really nice course to start our golf weekend
We flew in from DC to PBI and I found this course online. Read a lot of good reviews and made a tee time for Friday afternoon. Flying down it was raining all morning and when we got to the course it was still pouring. We waited 15 minutes as the radar showed the storm was moving out. The sun came out and we loaded up and headed to the first tee. The course dried out quickly and we were allowed out 90 degrees. That was a surprise as up North if it rains it's cart path only for 2 days.
The course was in great shape! The course design offers a very good challenge and the greens were in excellent shape. The previous reviews were true in that the greens do not hold shots coming in from short distances but you can adjust your play after a few holes. The greens are big so you have plenty of room where you don't have to pin seek on each hole. Tee boxes and fairways were in excellent shape. As it rained in the morning the tee sheet was pretty empty and we never had anyone behind us nor ever waited on the group in front. We played in a little over 4 hours and were able to go out for another 9 to be able to play all 27 holes. The replay price?? $12.00. Are you kidding me! We played 27 holes for less than $50. Great value, great course and friendly employees.
Overall, for a day that started with thunderstorms and rain, we had nothing but sunshine and a light breeze the rest of the day. If you find yourself in the PP/Boca Raton area and need a place to play GO PLAY this course.
Wow!
My favorite ft lauderdale area course used to be jacaranda but now that's number 2. This is one of the best county courses I've ever played in my life. In fact it's better than some private courses I've played before. I have never experienced such good conditions for this price. I've played the course three days in a row and it still will never be boring . Do yourself a favor and play here
Thank you for the five-star review and for recommending our course. We can't wait to see you again on your next trip over from California.
