Osprey Point Golf Club - Hawk/Falcon Course
About
Located in South County Regional Park, Osprey Point Golf Club offers the first course in Florida to be designated as an Audubon International Classic Signature Golf Course. You would never be able to tell from looking at it now, but the site was farmland before it was used for shellrock mining and then abandoned. The landscape had been overgrown but the Parks and Rec Department of Palm Beach County transformed it into a lush and scenic course. The golf course is a 27-hole layout that can be played in three different 18-hole combinations. All of the tees, greens, and fairways feature environmentally friendly Seashore Paspalum. The Hawk/Falcom combination has a gently rolling landscape enhanced with native vegetation. The elevation changes are subtle but they still provide a few tricky lies.

Angry
The course get from me 5 stars almost for everything. Nice layout, good condition and pace of play. But one thing!!! I was with my ten year old son and I had to pay extra money for driving in same car with me!!!. His not playnig!. Ladies and gentelmans, who own that beautiful golfcourse, is it your way to make a money???
Love this Course
Course is challenging but fair. Always in great shape. Good pace of play. No complaints, except difficulty in booking tee times
Hawk Raven 2/25/17
It was my first time playing at Osprey Point.
The weather was perfect, the Hawk and Raven courses were in excellent shape, plush fairways, fast and smooth putting surfaces.
The layout was very nice and moderately challenging.
Can't wait to play again!
All in all a great day!
Thank you for your review of Osprey Point. We are happy to hear that you found the course to be in such excellent condition and hope to see you again in the future.
Get To The Point
Great golf course cut hole by hole through a nature preserve. Hazard on just about every hole. Play the right tees for your skill level, or you might need a dozen balls in reserve. From the correct tees though, challenging but fair. Excellent condition. Pleasure to play.
Thank you for your review of Osprey Point. We are happy to hear that you found the course to be in such excellent condition and challenging. We hope to see you again in the future.
Osprey Point Golf Club
Excellent track for the money! Conditions well above average for the high volume of play!! Starters could be a little more personable to new players!! Would recommend this course. Ron V.
Thank you for your review of Osprey Point. We always enjoy hearing from new golfers and will speak with our starters. Please come see us again if you are in the area again.
Thank you for your review of Osprey Point. We hope to see you again in the future.
Good course and value for Feb
Course was in great shape . Very busy this time of year but service was still excellent. Round probably took around 4hr 30 min. . Would definitely play again.
Thank you for your review of Osprey Point. We hope to see you again in the future.
slowwww
Nice course
Long, long round and always very slow pace of play.
So many terrible golfers who cannot even advance the ball.
Ineffective rangers who NEVER move slow groups on
Worth the wait...
Picture this.. after three years of trying, we pull up the Osprey with Stranglehold by Ted Nugent playing..
This place is a kingdom, for a $56 hot deal, it was so worth the wait to play there. Word to the wise, tee times are tough to come by unless you have a Frequent Players Card. The demand to play here is insane, but so understandable once you arrive and experience it
Practice facilities were impeccable. Driving Range, Chipping, Putting game areas are all located right by the starter and the three 1st tees. We played Hawk and Raven.
The course is perfect, honestly, there are no words. From the tee boxes, to the fairways, to the greens to the rough.. everyhting is perfect.
Its a course thats large "enough" but not "too" forgiving. if youre in the junk, well good luck. Amazing to see the wildlife there, we saw two crocs on the tee boxes.
We decided after our round that we will 100% plan 2-3 rounds here every boys golf trip, because it is that nice.
Only negative, there was a sllow group, two groups ahead. Some locals told us in the pm thats unfortunatley normal. But i guess understandable since its easy to lose balls. This DID NOT ruin my day. allowed us to snap a few pictures
Thank you for your review of Osprey Point. We may be biased, but we love the wildlife out here as well. We are happy to hear that you had such a great experience and can't wait to see you again in the future.
Great conditions
It's always a pleasure to play this course. The layout, conditions & staff are above average.
Don't spread the word - Best Public I have played
Okay, let's start with the bad. The restrooms should be closer to the starter, where you return after 9 holes. There is no real bar/restaurant just a snack bar. The boats on the lake at Falcon can be irritating with loud noises and loud radios. Nevertheless the course is always in pristine condition. The driving range and practice greens are exceptional. The staff is wonderful. We have never had an issue with pace of play. Important to us is that walking is encouraged, which is not the norm in Florida. We play there as much as possible every other day during the winter season. And hope to continue this routine for many years. Thank you Osprey!
The Rosenbaums
Great conditions
We played the hawk and the falcon, both courses were in great conditions and very challenging.
There is an excellent practise area for driving, chipping and putting.
Courses were busy so pace of play was a little slow.
Poor management
The course is in beautiful condition. We played there on Saturday, play was extremely slow 4:45h. The player`s assistants drive around, they may stop to chit chat, if you complain about play, they have the ``that`s life`` attitude . They don't do anything about getting people to move. This course is like a nature preserve, very peaceful and normally quiet. We played the Falcon, the lake was busy with motor boats going full speed or if anchored, playing very loud music. This lake is not large, there should be a no wake rule. We have played there many times but this was not a good experience.
Great conditions
We played the falcon and the hawk and both courses were in great condition, the grass here is similar to what we would play in Toronto which I found unusual for Florida.
There is an excellent practise are for driving, chippping and putting.
Apart from the pace of play this was a great day out and a great experience.
Thank you for your review of Osprey Point. We are glad to hear you found the course to be in such great condition and enjoyed the Seashore Paspalum turfgrass that use. Pace of play is certainly an issue that we keep track of and deal with on a daily basis, especially this time of the year when the course tends to be so busy. We strive for a 4 hour, 15 minute pace and will continue to work to achieve this pace. Please come see us again soon.
Windy windy
This was the first time I'd played at Osprey. We played the Raven and Hawk nines. We knew going into it that the forecast called for stiff winds, but boy did it affect play (or at least mine). It certainly made it challenging. Wind aside, we thought the course was very nice. One little disappointment was no cart GPS or booklet to describe each hole, which made it difficult being our first time.
Thank you for reviewing Osprey Point Golf Course. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the round so much, despite the wind. The wind is definitely one factor that comes into play, not only here but at many courses in South Florida. We are looking to add the GPS in the carts in the coming months and will also soon introduce an app for your phone that also provides all the GPS information. We do have course guides available for sale in the golf shop, which should also help. We hope you will come see us again soon.
nice track - great value
extremely friendly staff - except for starter, who was having a bad day. Nice course. Wide landing areas and true greens. Great value
Thank you for your review of Osprey Point. We are happy to hear that you found the facility to be a great value and that the majority of your interaction with our staff was so positive. We would like to apologize for your experience with the starter that day and will review your comments with all of our staff to insure that the high customer service standards that we strive for are being met. Please come see us again soon.
Thank you for your review of Osprey Point. Getting a tee time can certainly be a challenge during this time of the year when the course is so busy, but we are happy to hear you made it one and had a great round. Please come see us again.
