About
Pearland Golf Club opened in 1982 after Jay Riviere was brought in to build the course as the centerpiece of a residential development for senior citizens. Mike Hoelzer rolled through in the late 1990s for a redesign on this fairly basic 18-hole golf course. The short design features generous fairways and prominent bunkering around the undulating greens. Lakes and ponds have been added over the years and impact play on most holes. Trees have also been added over the years to spice up the flat, prairie-like course.
No. 9 is one of the toughest holes, a 440-yard par 4 that doglegs and has water. No. 16 is considered Pearland's signature -- a 554-yard par 5 that also doglegs and has water in play.

Covid19 unfriendly
Booked tee time on Golf Now, which included cart. Upon arrival, I was told of a policy change and I had to share cart or be charged an additional $17 if I rode by myself. This rule was said to apply even if the othere person booking was a stranger. Also, the Starter was rude, telling me I had to tee off with another twosome after I had purchased a bucket of balls. The guy talked to me like I was playing for free!! What ever happened to customer service. I Won't return
Great Pace
Played on a Sunday and never had to wait for a group after the first tee which was refreshing and nice. The greens were in excellent shape and the rest of course wasn't too bad either. It's a shorter course so there are plenty of opportunities to get creative off of the tee as opposed to pounding driver 14 times. Pearland isn't in the top tier of places around town but they do a wonderful job with what they have and I'll definitely be back to play it again soon.

Great value
Greens in awesome shape. Fairways a bit bumpy. Layout with lots of short doglegs left driver in the bag a bit too much for my liking, but it was a good test of skills and I liked it a great deal...and at the price....awesome. Will def play again.

Slow Pace of Play
The course took just under 5 hours to complete - it was only my second time playing and was even too slow for me. There were too many groups and you had to wait for 5-10 mins at each hole to let the group in front of you complete the hole. Great course but pace of play ruined my experience. I wouldn’t recommend playing here.
Great greens. Fairways were in good shape but rough was a little too high. Pace of play was very slow

Challenging layout/poor conditioned
I play golf twice a week and play to a 12 handicap. This was my first time playing this course. It is a fun and challenging layout; however the course is in poor condition. The greens mower does not cut the greens evenly. The mower that is used to cut the fairways and rough is inadequate as there are patches of grass the mower misses entirely in the fairway and rough. The traps are unplayable. Fill the fairway traps with grass. The course has a lot of potential. I’d like to play it again but I would not recommend it to my friends.

Please disregard this review. It was not meant for Pearland Golf Course. It was meant for a different course in the area. This was my error when completing the review. I had a great experience at Pearland GC. The course was in wonderful condition and the staff were friendly and professional.

This course can eat your lunch and drink you Koolaid! Very challenging from the blue tees. Plenty of hazards and to tough finishing holes on both the front and back. Narrow fairways, if you miss can cause one to make dumb decisions, take your medicine and live for a better shot. Greens are the best I have ever seen them, fast and true.

The course was in great condition the lay out is really nice. This course demand every part of your game to shape the ball right to left really a position course if you play it for the first time and it reward you if you put the ball in the fairways.
love the course my only take away is the pace of play, the marshals does not come and see how the golfers are playing that part i did not like

It was great to play here again!
After not playing on this course since 2003, I was very surprised how good the course has held up. You course always looked so pretty when I passed by on my way home driving down FM 2234. I finally had an opportunity to bring my older brother who is a member at Bay Oaks and play this course. It was exactly as I remember it and I used to love playing here. I am going to play again with my brother (it is our grudge match) Tomorrow at 12:50
