About
Pearland Golf Club opened in 1982 after Jay Riviere was brought in to build the course as the centerpiece of a residential development for senior citizens. Mike Hoelzer rolled through in the late 1990s for a redesign on this fairly basic 18-hole golf course. The short design features generous fairways and prominent bunkering around the undulating greens. Lakes and ponds have been added over the years and impact play on most holes. Trees have also been added over the years to spice up the flat, prairie-like course.
No. 9 is one of the toughest holes, a 440-yard par 4 that doglegs and has water. No. 16 is considered Pearland's signature -- a 554-yard par 5 that also doglegs and has water in play.

Bad experience with online reservations
I am a member at the above named course. There was a hot button for me to book a tee time based on being a member, but I was charged the full price. When I confronted the pro shop, they said it is a problem with GolfNow. I searched and could not easily find any way of talking to a person or emailing my concern. I don't understand how one can offer a service but not the have the ability for feedback or some level of customer service in the event there is a problem. I need someone to contact me as soon as possible.
Pace of play was not acceptable
Went with my niece and nephew (14&17) and was told that we were playing to slow. I play golf to enjoy myself, not to be rushed through the course.

Nice course
Took me about 20 minutes to get from Midtown to Pearland Golf Club. Hit some balls at the driving range before my tee time. Staff was very friendly. We told the starter it was our first time playing and he gave us some tips and info on the course. Golf cart GPS was really accurate and even reminded you to call in a grill order when you’re on the ninth hole.
Course was in great condition and the pace of play was excellent.

Great Course for the price
Had a good time front 9 was def better than the back the greens were slower and softer on front faster and harder on back but the course was in good shape I’ll def be back!!

Just Peachy at Pearland
Pearland G.C. is a former private club that has now become a public course. It is situated within a residential community. Despite that, many of the holes have wide-open fairways.
Except for the rain puddles, the course was in very good condition yesterday. The fairways have greened-up and were a pleasure to hit from. The greens are currently difficult to putt-on as they were recently aerated and sanded. In another 2-3 weeks they will fill-in and the course will be in top notch condtion. One I thing I esepcially liked was the 5 choices of tee boxes for different skill level. Overall, it was a wet but memorable experience.

The course has been closed for a month because of the pandemic and it seems that gave the course time to heal.
Greens were the best that I've seen in a while because of the brutal heat but it seems that the month long pandemic break gave it a chance to heal.

Challenges all aspect of your game
One of my new favorite courses to play. Played for the second time and was easier because of course knowledge (made a lot of mistakes first time around). Will be back...

Great value, slow pace
I think that there is a relationship between the price you pay for a round of golf in the type of people that choose to partake in Said round of golf. The course let A group of six go ahead of us which caused us to have to miss a whole in order to save our chances of getting 17 in before the sunset. Overall for the price it is a wonderful value and I would golf there again but maybe with an earlier time slot.
