Pearland Golf Club
About
Pearland Golf Club opened in 1982 after Jay Riviere was brought in to build the course as the centerpiece of a residential development for senior citizens. Mike Hoelzer rolled through in the late 1990s for a redesign on this fairly basic 18-hole golf course. The short design features generous fairways and prominent bunkering around the undulating greens. Lakes and ponds have been added over the years and impact play on most holes. Trees have also been added over the years to spice up the flat, prairie-like course.
No. 9 is one of the toughest holes, a 440-yard par 4 that doglegs and has water. No. 16 is considered Pearland's signature -- a 554-yard par 5 that also doglegs and has water in play.

greens are in very poor condition
i have played here several times, it is usually in pretty good shape. the last time played all 18 greens and the practice green were gone. I would give the course a couple of months and then call before playing again.
Beautiful Day
Other than the 6’em that was holding us up 2 groups ahead and the group in front of us waiting for the 6’em to get on the green every hole to tee off and the residents money game behind us driving into us several times the club is a great value. Staff is very friendly. Some greens look like they had a rough winter looks like but they are growing again. We’ll be back.
Greens are not good at all
Played in a tournament recently (2/6/25) and the course conditions were fair, but the greens were poor at best. I know the staff is trying but this course needs to be shut down for 4-6 weeks to let the grass grow on the greens because there is none now. I am really sorry to have to report this but it's the truth. Thank goodness the staff did not overcharge us for our round. The cart girl also needs to learn some golf etiquette.
Overpriced and Poorly Maintained – But Great Beverage Service!
I don’t usually leave reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience at this course. Unfortunately, the conditions were extremely disappointing. The greens were the worst part, completely inconsistent, with some having little to no grass, just hard-packed mud. For the $83.54 Sunday rate, I expected much better. The course simply isn’t in shape to justify that price.
The one bright spot? The beverage cart service. Blanka was fantastic, she came around 4-5 times during our round, which was much appreciated. She gets 5 stars! But overall, the course itself needs serious improvement before I’d consider playing here again.
Greens destroyed
Stay far away from this course for atleast a couple months. I wouldn’t play here for feee. Greens are absolutely useless
The worst course I played lately
When you pay close to $80 for a round of golf, you expect the course to be in decent shape, well all the greens are the worst I’ve seen around and 3 of them were moved to the fareway, I think that’s they should have advertised that the course is in the bad shape that it is
Not worth the money
This course was probably the worst course I’ve played, condition wise. Could’ve been the recent snow, but there was hardly any grass on the greens and they were rock hard. $80 was criminal, should be no more than $25 with the shape it’s in right now.
Pay the extra $25-$30 and go play somewhere else
Greens are non existent. They have dirt that is sprayed painted green, worst I have ever seen. Fair ways were flooded. Driving range was closed. Over all not a good experience. Don’t know if I’d play here again.
You have better luck putting on water.
Atrocious greens. Some kind of disease or a fungus. Not worth the $50. It's a shame, this course used to be in really good shape but has gone down hill fast. Stay away at all costs.
Greens
For the price of play. The greens need to be taken care off. They were the worse greens I've seen in a long time. Not sure what the cause of this would be for not properly maintaining the greens? Especially during this time of month.
Pearland Golf Club
Great staff, friendly and professional. Green were in rough shape but playable. good value and a fun course.
Where's the marshal??
Foursome ahead was S L O W. We had a walker and still had to wait on every shot until we decided to skip a hole. THERE WAS NO ONE AHEAD FOR FIVE OR SIX HOLES!
Course really has to have a marshal do his duty. Especially when it's trying to garner new members.
BAD
i frickin hate this course
Greens were in bad shape for that course.Pace of play was slow.
