The Abbey

Really nice golf course, well looked after and maintained with some challenging holes and dog legs but as the title says, almost 6 hours to play 18 is just not on, no marshals out on the course at any point from what we could see.

I would definitely recommend The Abbey . Facilities were great staff were very friendly. Lovely terrace overlooking the 18th hole . Food was ok . The course was in very good condition but make sure you stay straight if you veered off into the rough at all very difficult to find your ball as the rough is long . Other than that the greens were solid so if you tried to pitch on them they ran off . We had a great day will be back soon .👍🏻

This is a beautiful course at a very good price, for the time of year and the weather we have had the course was in great condition, 2 or 3 greens could have done with a little more love but overall fantastic, we will definitely be going back

Played this on the off chance as other courses were closed but was a treat! It was a bit wet but still very well presented for a winter/early spring round. Good value. Do t hesitate go play it

Yes I know it early in the year and the new season hasn’t started , but could be better

It was my first visit to the Abbey and really enjoyed it. Some of the shorter holes look easier they are where a strategic first shot is more important than the driver. Would definitely visit again

Course is in great condition for this time of the year . Greens in good condition. Few temporary tees but that is expected for this time of year .

The course was in good condition for this time of year. Greens were well looked after. Only downside was the amount of leaves everywhere lost 4 balls on the fairway possibly due to them going under leaves . No beer in tap either in the club house only bottles . Apart from that was a good course to play

The course is really fun to play. It’s an interesting layout and some very difficult holes that kept it interesting. The bunkers are awful they have little to not sand hard as rock and then 2 or 3 holes some improvements have been made on this but then makes it harder as there is no consistency. The green are a bit hard to read but decent enough. The course is beautiful though and lots of water and well looked after. The worst thing is the slow play we got stuck behind a 4 ball who refused to let us play though even though we were only 2 on a cart and we play quite quickly.
