The Abbey

A quite disappointing day out despite the pictures on the website. The layout is reasonable but the maintenance on the course was very poor, fairways or greens not cut at all. In addition, there were beer bottles and cans all over the place, it was crazy - I have played all around the UK and Midlands, for a private course this was quite embarrassing.

I would not return to this course or recommenced it to any of my friends and was left deflated.

Fabulous golf course will definitely return for another round now we know the course layout.

Played here quite a few times and usually not too bad for pace of play' but someone had been allowed to jump on the back 10 holes even though people were coming up 8....we ended up playing the last 10 holes behind a 5 ball. Course marshals are needed to keep play moving'.nearly 5 hour round not much fun.

Really enjoyed this course, it's beautiful, some really good holes, plenty of water so steer clear and the front 9 is pretty tight so I wouldn't be going left and right, well worth the money would advise anyone to visit, we had horrendous weather so I will be returning to have a nice round there. Would recommend abbey park the greens and fairways are excellent bunkers were not playable due to rain the day before could do with more signage worth £20ish a round

First time playing here and would not return. Far too many players booked in and we were stuck in a queue all day sometimes having to wait 15 minutes between each hole. Also saw people on buggies dumping beer bottles into the stream as they went round. Seems like a very relaxed municipal where anything goes although it’s still over £20 a round!

Course was in fantastic condition, Greens were immaculate! with some difficult holes. A challenge for golfers of all abilities. The only let down was it wasn’t clearly sign posted enough for where each tee was. Further more you find yourself walking through a housing estate And across roads to get from one hole to another!

Fantastic course, well maintained friendly staff. Good challenge for all level of golfer with well located bunkers placed throughout the course

Well kept course, greens in good condition as well as the fairways.

The only criticism I have about the course is that the tee boxes are heavily damaged. The greens are in great shape and I think the course is challenging with a number of tight holes with OOBs present.

I would definitely play again.

Did not use the facilities for obvious reason, so have not given a rating.
