Golfer Reviews
Avoid
Atrocious course. Greens are worse than most fairways. Richings Park and Thorney Park nearby are significantly better. Awful service from staff. Avoid at all costs.
Horrific condition, not worth your time or money
Burnt and Brutal
As like all the courses in Southern England it was hard and fast.
Decent price £22 hot deal
This was a big improvement from the last time I played there
Greens were in good condition
This is a PGA championship course opened in the 90s but after its initial opening, it took a turn for the worse.
Now it's playable and for the price it wasn't too bad.
Good value for money
Yellow Tee boxes poor, no grass and une en, feet slipped when swinging.
Just needs water and moving yellow markers mor often
Greens in good condition.
Buggy with GPS was a good experience We only got locked out once for going to close to the tee box😀.
Played recently
Played recently the course layout is good and the staff and club house is nice and the driving range is good but unfortunately there’s not an ounce of sand in the bunkers there’s some type of gravel in some and the others are bone dry mud some are GUR but a large majority are not and there practically unplayable the fairways are well kept & greens run true enough very hard they could do with some water as hitting the greens was landing on concrete and even hitting 30 yards short would result in your ball rolling onto then off the green which made for an unexpected extra shot or even an unfortunate drop shot in my case wouldn’t recommend anyone I know to play here unless it was really cheep less than £20 pounds to play as it will cost you that to replace the balls you loose for hitting good shots i understand the weather we have had has made the conditions fairly dry but I played another course days before and it was amazingly well looked after greens was well kept and fairways were well maintained and for £17 the conditions of the courses were miles apart in the standard and bunkers were all playable I only played out of one but it had sand in it which was expected.
Abandoned course
I really resent paying £79 for a two ball on a course the has been abandoned. I’ve played this course for many years and never have I seen it in such poor condition. I would very much like a refund.
Horrible
Course condition horrible even in summer, greens were bumpy , fairways has many stone, green feel like fairways , very bumpy,
Pace of play also horrible, only difference 7 minutes between tee time, if one group ahead is slow , everyone is stuck behind
I don’t recommend ever, my last time playing
A surprising little gem that would be a cracking course with some money care & attention. Really good value for money, but there is a bit of walking between holes. Excellently signposted except for the last hole! This hole also needs a net to keep driving range balls away from this hole. Kill the dandelions!!
Great value for money
I’ve played here many times. It’s great value for money on weekday afternoons, with an excellent course layout and not too busy during the week.
