Alderley Edge
Friendly staff smd members. Some varied holes kept in super conditions. Challenging greens and pin positions.
Liked it
Great course and not what I had expected. Undulating in parts and very rewarding
Alderlet Edge Golf
A very challenging course as it’s up and down and a good walk between some tees
Nice condition
Fabulous 9 hole course
Alderley Edge GC is often overlooked in an area littered with posh upmarket clubs such as Prestbury and Wilmslow. It is however a charming course - probably the best nine-holer in the North West!
The entrance is unprepossessing - a long walk uphill from the car park to a rather ordinary looking 1960s clubhouse. On the first tee however, you realise that you are not any ordinary flat tree-lined parkland course. A blind drive over the brow of a hill before the fairway plunges down to a green on the other side of the course's most striking feature - a meandering brook that is in play on six of the nine holes.
There are a couple of Micky Mouse holes - particularly the 5th/14th where a direct shot at the green is prohibited - but the standard generally is superb. The long par 4 7th/16th is as good a hole as you will find in Cheshire.
I would happily join Alderley Edge as a second club if offered a good deal. I love the place!
Great round at Alderley
Had the course to ourselves, perfect conditions and the course was in a good condition too
Disappointed
Lovely course but advertised as a 18 hole course on tee off times when it's only 9 and very expensive for that reason
Mountain range
Well kept 9 hole course. I found the course extremely hilly and it was like playing on a mountain range.
