Aldwark Manor Estate Golf

Lovely corse in a stunning setting. 1st time of playing here and worth the drive out, the corse is in lovely condition and the 19th hole is a lovely place to pop in afterwards. The hotel and grounds look stunning with a new outdoor spa. We're currently looking at booking another round here with a night over in the hotel.

The golf course has a bit of everything, good greens and overall very enjoyable - the only downside is how unfriendly and quite off putting some of the staff are - especially one of them in the bar area - it put us off going back, but may go back and hopefully this might have been addressed, as other groups noticed this too.

I've been playing at Aldwark for the last ten years and have seen it evolve to what it is today after the major changes to the layout. The addition of the new eighteenth green makes it a great finishing hole. One observation is the bunkers should be raked every day.

Wow oh wow what a hidden gem Aldwark manor estate is very welcoming young lady who was helpful and pleasant in the pro shop and the layout of the course was excellent and the scenery was 5 stars as well greens were perfect and the locals were friendly as well oh yes we will be returning to Aldwark manor again thanks for a great day 5 stars 🌟 from us Aldwark 👍👍👍

Some excellent holes over water provide an interesting back drop to this course. Well maintained and varied. A little confusing layout but nothing that wouldn’t be solved by actually following the course map. 5*

Great course with some unique and challenging holes. We really enjoyed it here, it’s a great set up and the price was reasonable.

Stunning Parkland course alongside the River Ouse. A mixture of tricky and straightforward holes with a huge amount of variety that keeps the round interesting at all times.

The greens are largely excellent and the overall layout challenging but very fair.

The signature hole is the 14th across the river with a fade drive the order of the day, setting up a nice approach to an elevated green.

This was a last minute addition to our itinerary; but it’s not bottom of our list of courses played over 4days. Staff excellent throughout our golf experience; greens very good, fairways have great definition; generally this golf course is great to play.

Nobody seems to want to play too? It was a Wednesday and the course was empty. We would play again ✅

Aldwark Manor Golf used to be a very well kept course. However at this point in time they are in the process of making major structural changes to the club house and hotel area which has to become an excellent premises with top facilities. But at present the fairways are all overgrown and the greens are in very poor condition .

I understand that at this time of year the greens are being sanded and perforated on slot of courses but the fairways were 3-4 inches long making the finding of balls a problem

This is the worst course I have ever played upon and I had a friend travel over 100 miles to play , it has potential to become a major golf centre but I suspect it will be at least 2027 before we see any improvement and anyone who books will never play there again

Despite all the rain and how wet every course in the area is, we played all 18 holes and only 1 temporary green. Greens were in great condition, really enjoyed it.

Staff were very helpful and polite.

Considering the recent conditions on the UK, the course was one of the most open in the local area. With only 3 holes closed and 1 temporary green.

The greens that where open were in great condition, a few sloppy/wet fairways but that's just UK golf this time of the year.

Really enjoyed the course, water hazards and excited to go back in summer/better conditions.

After a week of heavy rain we were expecting heavy going. However, on the morning of the round and 1hr before Tee off we were informed that x4 holes were closed due to flooding.

We decided to play anyway due to the fact that we were already en route. Huge mistake. Entire course was waterlogged and course should have been closed. We played 6 holes and gave up.

Possibly has the making a good course on a better day but who knows.

Nice layou, really ok for time of year, will definitely be back in the summer

A fantastic day at Aldwark Manor on Monday. On checking in we were expected & warmly welcomed, as this was our 1st time there the course layout was explained.

The course itself is in excellent condition, receptive greens & well maintained fairways & bunkers(I only experienced 1 or 2!!), with some really interesting holes, 14 in particular.

One of my favourites of this year so far.

The hotel looks fabulous, but the course was disappointing. I know it's been a dry summer but I don't this has seen water since 1976. Quite a few nothing holes and then you get to the 14th. Driver over the river to a fairway you can't see and I couldn't see a pole to give me a line either so I bypassed it. I might have missed the marker pole but it certainly didn't stand out to my old eyes. I played it because I am moving to the area and was considering joining, but I will be looking elsewhere. Pity because the spa might have helped me convinced my wife it was a good decision
