Slow play
Myself and my son went to play at 10.50 on bank holiday Monday . The course was rammed , we had to wait 10 mins on each tee box so we gave up after 8 holes . I mentioned this to the pro shop but diff do not really feel I was being listened to . They offered 9 holes free some other time but had now voucher system or refund policy and I would have to ring to arrange . So overall not very happy .
Ardencote Friday Afternoon Golf
We chanced an after-work twilight round hoping the light wouldn’t fade too early. A bit of rain but we managed a great pace with absolutely no waiting and not rushing. No-one around at all so it felt like millionaires golf!
It’s our local course but such great value with the deals on Golf Now. Always enjoyable!
Over-sized pitch and putt
Terrible course. No hint of golf course design. Signature hole, par 3 9th over water has the tee on a worn out mat on the hotel patio, and even then, it’s not level. If you are anywhere near being a serious golfer, stay away.
Glorified pitch and putt course
I must have played worse courses but I really can’t remember when. This is a pitch and putt course. No thought given to course design. Put a green here and tee there and whatever is in the way, tough.
If you are anywhere near a serious golfer, stay away!
Ardencote in the sun
The sunshine brought quite a lot of groups to Ardencote on Thursday afternoon. Our front nine was slow with a bit of waiting as groups new to golf played their round. Our two ball coupled up with the two ball behind and made for a very social and enjoyable round. Groups ahead of us only did the front nine so our pace picked up considerably. The course is in great condition and the Green keepers must be congratulated on absolutely fantastic looking fairways! Beautiful Warwickshire countryside!
Great company, great conditions and good golf! Nice way to spend my Thursday afternoon!
Disappointed
First time I’ve played this course, although there was a number of quite basic holes, there was also some really nice challenging holes especially off the tee, small greens all pretty flat. Overall I really enjoyed playing here with one exception, looked like the holes had been cut several weeks before, was a shame it really let the course down.
Nice & Peaceful
Flat. Fairly forgiving. Some lovely holes and couple tricky ones. Relaxed tee off timing and course was quiet. Enjoyed it and will return.
Friday Afternoon Golf
Last-minute two-ball. Easy to find a suitable tee-off time with many available times throughout the afternoon. Greens in good condition but quite fast for my game. Tree foliage was a problem for me at a couple of holes but added to the need for accuracy off the tee and mid-hole! Two very fast solo players we let play through without impacting on our own pace of play…both were appreciative. Knowledgeable and helpful staff in the shop again. Very good value for money at this local course in rural Warwickshire.
Day out
Greens were good but very firm , fairways need time to mature as this must be a fairly new course.
A few really nice holes but overall flat and ideal for higher handicap golfers.
Very little rough but there are a few ponds and ditches to keep you focused.
Easy walking course.
Good course.
We have played this course many times before and always enjoyed it. The fairways and greens are in excellent condition which made for a good days golf. It was busy but no problems with groups backing up. The best thing about this course is they always have tee times available when ever you want to play. Would recommend highly.
Ardencote on a Friday afternoon
All the course amenities were open. Greens very nicely kept. Surprisingly quiet for a lovely sunny day in Warwickshire. Post match brasserie was quite full of people ( but not golf players).
This round was fantastic VFM and as my ‘local’ is the one I’ll always default to. Thanks to all the staff for their efforts in maintaining this enjoyable course.
Bad conditions but lovely course
The course was pretty waterlogged and muddy in areas but this can’t be helped as the weather has been bad. I can see though that when dry and a bit more manicured that it is a lovely, picturesque course. Greens were in good condition considering. I would play again. A short course but far from easy.
Millionaires Golf
Almost empty! A very forgiving course. Greens excellent. Some interesting holes. Loved it!
Do not bother
The course is being completely neglected! Can’t tell the difference in between the rough and fairways and the greens are like a motocross track! Keep your money….
