Poor condition
Course wasn’t the best with inconsistent grass length on the fairways and greens looked like they had been recently treated. No trollers allowed but was only informed of this as we were walking down the first fairway. No trollers available either with winter wheels although course wasn’t wet. Very strange decision but we ended up having to carry full bags around a very long course. Disappointed to say the least.
Pace of play was far to slow .
Plus we had to let 3 different competition groups through.
Must have been a 5 to 6 hour round ridiculous.
June 4th 2021
A wonderful course, condition was good, not great, the big grievance was we were a 2 ball, behind a 1 ball, who was behind a 1-ball, in front of which was a society with 4 x 4 balls. 3 hours to play nine holes - rubbish.
So please check what’s ahead before you book - the locals told me Thursday and Friday must be avoided?
But despite my moaning - it’s a gorgeous course!
Ironically as we finished at 1800, the place was empty - moral - play late!
Great day on the course
Really enjoyed the course! It’s a big challenge and the greens were in very good condition. Slightly chaotic bar staff afterwards though. Not great customer service, suggest they need some training in politeness.
Fantastic Parkland Course
Lovely hole layouts, true and undulating greens and a nice challenge at 6700 off the yellows.
Earls course
Lovely course, extremely well prepared, enjoyed every hole
Lovely course
Beautiful place and facilities
Pace was slow took 2 of us 4 and half hours to go round. Greens were a little long but in good shape. I’d say for this time of year and with just opening not bad at all slightly expensive in my opinion fir this time of year , I’d say £30/35 not £45.
Terrible value for money
OK so the 7th on the Earls is a stunningly beautiful hole but that's it.
The rest of the front 9 is a long dull slog. The back 9 is a bit better but nothing memorable.
And the greens today resembled Bournemouth beach.
We all know the work has to be done but it should reflect in the green fee. £55..... should have been £30 tops and the pro shop and staff couldn't care less.
Avoid
Great course and good facilities.
Great course and good facilities. Good location as well. Easy to get to. Pace of play was good as well.
Great little find
We were looking for a course to play for my brothers birthday and not many courses were accepting visitors. So we decided to look a bit further out and came across the Warwickshire GC and what a little gem it is. The Earls course is a great mix up of tight tee shots and long par 5’s. Very well kept and definitely worth a visit. Considering the amount of rain we’d had the two days before the course had no standing water.
Staff were very friendly and it has good facilities there. Would highly recommend.
Well worth a game
Played the Earls Course and will definitely go back
Expensive buggies
£30 for a buggy is just too much. It’s 20-25 at most courses. The course is nice and well kept. Lots of slow play as other have highlighted. And that was midweek so I can only imagine what it’s like at the weekend.
Warwickshire Earls Course
The course was in amazing condition, the facilities were great. Bar staff wasnt particularly attentive and didn’t listen to what we actually ordered.
The golf was great until we had to sit behind a four ball then played very slowly and didn’t allow us through (2 ball) at any point despite being very close on a number of occasions on multiple holes on the back 9!
It meant we had to wait on every tee, on every approach shot and ruined the flow of play...
That being said it was a Saturday, just a shame it slowed us down as it affected the golf we were playing...
Good course but poor service
Turned back from the first tee for not having winter wheels on our trolleys. The pro shop failed to say anything when we checked in or when we called the day previous to check on the course conditions.
The Earls
Course in great condition for this time of year. Greens in very good order, if only I could putt!!
