fantastic golf club
Really enjoyable round tee box beautiful and veey useful paths help get to next hole
Greens were very fast and very very large with movement so to make putting challenging
Things that let this course down were
Fairways very bare and in need of some tlc
And one or two holes having to be very close to other players on different holes or have to cross holes
Great day with my Son
Took my son here to play a round of golf. Neither of us are overly proficient at golf but we can hit a ball relatively straight. The course suited us because it had wide open fairways so misdirection of a tee shot was not overly punished. The course was in great condition bearing in mind that the weather has been so dry in these parts, The wind on some holes made it extremely challenging
Bar closed!
Only disappointing aspect of the round was that we could not get a drink at the end as at 8PM the bar was closed.
Great course
Hire a buggy!
I'm glad we did, as it is a lovely big course.
The grounds were in perfect condition
Pace of play was good.
And a great variety to each hole,
Definitely recommend a knock here.
About as hilly as it gets (in Norfolk)
Second time played and a whole lot more enjoyable partly helped by the weather which was perfect. The course layout is very good and crossing over a valley makes for some interesting holes. The fairways were in poor condition generally with little grass but the greens were very good. Fairly wide tree lines fairways with not too much trouble if the fairways are missed. Overall a nice course that could be even better if the fairways were in better condition
Cracking course, greens and layout superb with some memorable par 3s. Let down slightly by a number of bare lies on the fairway, not very lush but perhaps due to recent dry spell. Would highly recommend with very reasonable green fees available on line
Great round, great value
Great round on a perfect day. Round was great value thanks to the deal purchased through Golf Now. Our pair was slightly held up by the three ball ahead of us over the last few holes, but nothing of any significance.
Great value for money
Course in really good condition and the greens were running smooth.
Excellent course
This was my first time playing Bawburgh and I have to say that it is an excellent course, the course was in great condition, the staff very helpful and friendly and the members who were playing in the groups behind very understanding and accommodating.
Another good round at Bawbrugh
I had a really good round of golf today but was a little annoyed at the pace of place of a very large society that was in front of us, there was a three ball that seemed to take an age on every green and next tee, not once did they offer to let us a two ball through. But I guess that's something to be expected with a society, as some that play in them do not understand the etiquette.
But I still enjoyed my round.
Relaxing round of golf
The staff in the pro shop were very friendly and helpful. We played off peak and the pace of play was very good. Easy to find your way from hole to hole due to excellent signs. Some interesting holes. Quite a long course if you are a high handicap player.
Enjoyable but challenging round in the heat and extreme fairway conditions (very hard due to 6 weeks without any rainfall) but good all the same
Norwich
On holiday in Norwich thought i would give the course a go from the tee times review.
The course is varied and testingly narrow in parts A couple of interesting par 3s.
Greens testing and in excellent condition despite the dry spell of weather.
Decent value for money members politely let me through there medal games as i was a solo player.
Improved Layout
My wife & I were members here over 15 years ago then moved out of area. The changed layout is far better & many of the holes are much improved due to maturity and course has been well looked after by the green staff. Thoroughly enjoyed our round again & will be back.
