Bentham Golf Course is situated in the Three Peaks area of North Yorkshire and has stunning scenery of Ingleborough and the surrounding hills. Often referred to as the 'Augusta of The Dales', Bentham Golf Course is a beautiful parkland course with tree lined fairways, multiple lakes and lush fairways. The course welcomes golfers of all abilities, offering an enjoyable round to less experience players and a challenge to those lower handicappers. The signature hole of the course is the par 3 10th that has you look down from an elevated tee to a tempting green which lies just on the other side of a stone walled pond.

The venue offers a great drink selection and some catering in the clubhouse which makes it the perfect place to enjoy a post-round drink and watch fellow golfers complete their round from the patio over looking the 18th. There is a pro shop on site too which is fully stocked with the latest brands and apparel, where custom club fitting is available. There is also a driving range and new practice chipping area under construction ready for the 2021 season. The course is home to Wenningdale Escapes who have on offer luxury glamping pod and lodge stays. These can be booked for a family holiday or for a golfing getaway.

Great day out

Just a good course , with some great holes , I can imagine that it would be very wet and muddy in winter but it was great when we played . The staff in the pro shop were helpful and nice . It's nice and short off the yellow tees but would be much more of a challenge off the whites with some tees well back . Greens were good and rolled out well and some were very undulating. Just a great day out , well worth the travel of over an hour .

We that is to say My best friend Richard, his son Jack who has only been playing for 6 months, my brother Robert and myself had a great day. The conditions were tough the course was damp, it was breezy and we all didn't play that well either! But we all had a great time in each others company, it is a beautiful part of the world to be in and it was just fun! Golf, sport and life is a test and we passed today! I would also like to pass on my appreciation of the warm, friendly welcome I got from the lady at the pro shop. Golf can be quite stressful and that little bit of friendlyness can make all the difference.

Little gem in the dales.

What a great little course. A real friendly and a well kept place. Has a good driving range to warm up or practice on.

The course itself is well manicured throughout.

My only picky negative is that it could do with the red/yellow/white flags on the greens to indicate the pin positions (front/middle/back) as you can’t see all the greens from the fairways (or rough on my case). It is in the dales so it’s bound to have some hills blocking views to all greens.

The difference In distance between the yellow and white tees are noticeable which it makes for great iron practice but you definitely need a driver on the 18th which is a super finishing hole.

All in all I loved it and the views are spectacular.

I’ll definitely be returning.

Played this course on numerous occasions over the last few months and it’s great. Greens immaculate, some really fantastic holes, great views and some holes really force you to think about shot selection. Wind can really come into play and make the golf course a real test.

Sunday morning golf

Surprised to get an 11.10 tee on a Sunday for me and my son. Drove from Wigan.

All social distancing measures in place. Plenty of handwash stations available, and well organised. Guy in Pro shop friendly and helpful.

Course is in good condition. Greens were firm and true. Great scenery, shame the weather was overcast. The course is a good test, but fair. The hardest holes were pretty tough in the wind. I have recommended to my society and will definitely be returning. Thoroughly recommended.

Blustery Day Great Course

We played a 4 ball friendly in blustery conditions and thoroughly enjoyed our day.This wasnt our first visit and it wont be our last,great views great staff and for the time of year the course is in fab condition.No winter greens which makes such a difference,by far as good if not better than courses in our area (Clitheroe/ Whalley).On this occasion we didn't eat after our game but I can honestly say the food on other visits was superb.If we lived 10 miles nearer this would be my club.
