Excellent condition
Superb condition , course plays amazing , some of the holes are bit samey.
bonday
danny willett childhood course. Fabulous course ,set up as a championship and plays like one , distances often misleading , as uphill greens above water hazards ,maybe 150 yds but often with longer carry require sometimes 2 club adjustment . Beautifully manicured fairways . Greens like snooker tables . Course was in excellent condition.
Bondhay
Course in good condition been a few years since I played. Very slow over 4 and half hours for a 2 ball
Best Condition Ever
My golfing mates and I play this course around 6 times a year and it’s one of the most challenging courses around. In September 2020 it’s in the best condition I’ve ever seen it, the fairways are lush and the greens are running very true. Bondhay will challenge your golfing ability and your mental control as you are often in the trees and chipping out becomes an art form. Straight hitters do well here and those who think they can thread a 3W through the trees to a green fade away quickly. Get yourself there soon and enjoy the course and it’s fantastic layout with the 18th hole being one of the best I’ve played bar none !
Repetitive
If you like playing the same hole 18times this is the course for you!
The conditions of the course are good but there is only 1 hole that was slightly different and that was the 18th.
No views on any part of the course just trees.
Testing course
Very tough course but also very enjoyable. Not much room for error, if you go into the tree lines it’s unforgiving. The fairways and greens are brilliant and each hole serves up a new test.
Good but a shame.
I have played bondhay several times and always found it to be an interesting and challenging course. Fairways and greens were in fantastic condition, however the decision to not maintain the bunkers and let them become a wet mass of unraked wet sand and weeds is disappointing. They were still technically in play but it was impossible to play proper bunker shots around the green.
Still enjoyed the round but this issue did affect it. Stayed for a drink and some food after, this was very nice and served observing COVID protocol. Friendly staff as always.
Tree linned
Very tight fairways with lots of trees
Good test and lots of interesting holes
Bondhay
Lovely course been loads of time's. It's challenging but always fun
Greens absolutely shocking
Played here last year a number of times yet cant remember the course being in such bad shape. Greens are impossible to putt on, bumpy and no warning prior to round. 100% the worst greens we have played on in the area possibly ever.
Spoke to a member in the carpark before leaving who was expressing the same issues about the greens. Explaining how membership had gone up yet the course has gone backwards. Hate to see it as it was a very likeable course, not anymore unfortunately. Needs alot of improvement.
Will not be back again
What’s happened - this isn’t a championship course
What’s happened to this once lovely golf course.
The greens were shocking the fairways needed cutting the course looked scruffy not the Bondhay I’ve played before.
All I would say is the condition on the back 9 is far better than the first 9.
Such a shame.
Great
A credit to the ground staff. Super course and super conditions.
Fabulous course
A really fabulous course. Very challenging with tree lined fairways. Water in play on a number of holes. The 18th is a great Finish. Can’t wait to return. Looking to book already..
Testing course but good quality
A good course where you have to reslly think your way around. A lot of trees on every fairway edge meaning if u are 6ft wide of the narrow fairways u are chipping out. That said some lovely holes and course in nice condition.
The greens had recently been hollow cored. The fairways grow really quick at Bondhay they was cut Thursday 27/8 normally they would have been cut again Monday 31/8 but being a bank holiday this was moved to another day. Friday 28/8 rained constantly all day meaning a lot of work had to be postponed.
