Bondhay Golf Club - Championship Course

This long, tight course is an excellent challenge for most golfers. On arrival, the course looked in superb condition with fairways beautifully mown. However, on our visit, the greens were not quite the same standard, being a little slow and bumpy. Even so, we had an excellent day out.

Brilliant course, well looked after, great pleasant staff, my only grumble would be the driving range needs upgrrading.

Really good coarse, staff welcoming and great value

It is early in the season but thought the greens needed a bit of attention and the fairways were quite long in parts. The course is challenging and interesting and in places very tight. Enjoyed the round in great weather but feel the course and the clubhouse would benefit from a little TLC.

Great course, friendly staff in the pro shop. Only thing i would like to see is the driving range refurbished.

Outstanding course. Fantastic layout and in immaculate condition. Really enjoyed our round. However....we called into the clubhouse for a drink and something to eat but after standing at the bar for 10 minutes waiting there was nobody around to serve us so had to leave without.

For mid March this course is in very good condition and one-off the few courses where you can take buggies most of the year. With tree lined fairways and strategically placed bunkers it's a thinkers course. Highly recommended. Staff very friendly and check out the Winter deals with various food options. Great value for money

Fantastic course, in great condition with great facilities

Having played the course on numerous occasions I was disappointed to find out on arrival that there were 9 temporary greens due to a morning frost. We teed off at 12.30 with no evidence of the morning frost due to the bright sunny conditions. The temporary greens in place were very disappointing and we could see no reason why the course at that time couldn’t have been fully opened.

First few holes were on temporary greens. I can understand why but when we played the ground was nicely thawed out. Thankfully after a few holes the green keepers woke up and moved the pins back to normal greens.

Booked last minute so had to follow a 3 ball in a comp so slow round, however that made me think about the course more than usual and what a enjoyable round. It's a challenge to miss every bunker and some difficult water hazards but challenge met and after 18 hole's I came off with massive smile on my face.

Will definitely be back soon.

The course was in fantastic condition, the only downside was they were winter greens as there had been an overnight frost & the groundskeeper was looking after the greens. The fairways were brilliant & the layout is as always fantastic. Great course, we will definitely be back when it gets warmer.

Travelled 30minutes to play this “championship” course after seeing the reviews. Nothing on the website to say all temp greens and temp greens was terrible. Pace of play was awful, walked off on the 9th. Should be told before booking about temp greens, waste of a afternoon, and all the staff had to say was it’s still a round of golf

Only my 10th round of golf as a new player and a baptism of fire. Spent a lot of time in the trees, of which there are many. Its a little punishing but immaculately kept and has some lovely fairways and greens.

I love this course but was dissatisfied today

Leaves everywhere and yes you’re going to get that on parkland but more could have done by the club.

At £30 each and only getting to play 9 holes because we were nearly 3 hours in at that point, you have to question is there too much traffic for a Sunday & why no sign of a Marshall

Lovely course and nice food but would avoid on a Sunday. Mentioned to pro and not even a 9 hoke voucher offered for what we missed. Expensive mistake

Fairways a little rough, all greens roped off (front nine at least) and unsure if you are allowed to chip inside ropes so constantly picking up ball if short of green speed of play and general numbers way to slow so we gave up after 9 holes which took 2 hours 20 minutes to complete not so bad as we got reduced price deal as afternoon tee time but would not like to pay full price

Nice course. Some good challenging holes. They've saved the nest hole till last! Very enjoyable afternoon's golf.
