Brandon Wood Golf Course

Played Brandon on a Monday morning, 10:18 tee time and enjoyed having the course to ourselves. Saw only one other two ball and a couple of singletons during the full round - just like a private golf course!

It had rained most of the night and literally stopped as we arrived. Great timing! The course was amazingly dry and free from standing water apart from a couple of the greens and one fairway.

Throughout, the greens were incredibly fast given the amount of rain that had come down over the preceding hours.

The course has plenty of interest for medium to high handicappers and is kept in very good condition.

All in all, a most enjoyable round.

First time playing this course & very happy. Staff extremely helpful and everything organised ready for our arrival. The course was well maintained & enjoyable to play. Great day out

Excellent afternoon of golf, course good and weather superb, it's always good to play Brandon tough but fair. Thank you to all green keepers and course staff and booking in at the club house easy and efficient.

I played here quite regularly over the last few years. Twice ive had my van broken into and also my brothers car locks were tampered with. Although the golf course its self is pretty good, I will not risk my vehicle in its unprotected car park again. Not worth the risk.

Course was in excellent condition, probably one of the best municipal courses in the West Midlands. A good test for golfers of all abilities. Highly Recommended.

Always been a tough course to play overall it's great value and in good nick apart from the 9th a bit soft and smelly also the bunkers aren't the best but for the money no complaints here

Very good challenge for any level of golfer, greens could be better but not too bad. £7 for 18 holes, cannot go wrong at all, i will be playing again soon

Haven't played Brandon for many years and it is still a cracking course. Raised tees and greens throughout with challenging features on every hole. Won't leave it so long this time.

Booked this 5 days before but our tee time still got bumped by over 20 minutes and we were not notified by email!!

This has happened when booking the same day or the evening before but not with 5 days notice. Also if you hire a buggy you can't take it to the car park to load and unload.

Course is interesting and in decent condition

I played this course with my dad and was extremely impressed by the condition of the course, greens ran true and fairways were in excellent condition not one bad lie all round for either of us. Its a fairly forgiving course yet some thinking is needed on holes. Overall a very pleasant experience with great value, looking forward to my next round!

Wild rough in places but wide fairways.

Excellent cse and very friendly staff . Plenty throw and beautiful scenery.

This was my first visit to Brandon Woods but it will certainly not be my last. a friendly welcome, the course was a little squishy under foot on the 1st and the 9th fairways when we played but it wasn't an issue. There was a good variety of difficulty and terrain and the greens were in good condition. The greens took a bit of adjusting to as they were quite a bit quicker than i'm were used to but this was no detraction from our game. I highly recommend this course.

Every time I play Brandon, I remember what a great layout it is. A mix of holes which require you to think your way round and uses every club in the bag. Every green is raised and this adds a challenge you don't see on many municiples. The 11th is the only dull hole! The course was in good condition for the price you pay. The fairways are always lush and well mown and the greens were consistent. Disappointing that the clubhouse was all locked up after an afternoon round on a Sunday but probably wouldn't have gone in. This and the fact that 4 holes are closed every winter is the only thing stopping me from taking a membership!

Great course in great condition. Good tidy fairways and forgiving but challenging semi rough. Good layout and variety of holes. Tough and challenging tee shots where accuracy is very important to you approach shot. I would recommend it to anyone to play and give it a go themselves.

Course in great condition considering it had rained 24 hours previous. Will challenge the best of players
