Fairways long, greens poor and slow, tees very patchy. Shame as I played it in June and it was in fantastic condition
A Gem
Played this course for the first time with two friends and we all agreed what a great course it was. A very warm welcome greeted us in the Golf Shop and was given good instructions of the layout of the facilities from putting green chipping area and nets .
Most holes had slight drainage work but that didn't interfere with the role of the ball ...just a little unsightly at times.
Every hole made you think at the tee box and although there is no water on the course you need to stay straight otherwise the treelines will catch you out.
Fairways immaculate and greens were in first class condition with bunkers having plenty of sand in them.
This course is a 'must' to play and will definitely be back soon. 10 out of 10 .
Awesome Day
Kenilworth is a great day out on the Golf Course. Friendly Staff, good food and course is awesome 5 Stars from me. Can’t wait to go again
Overdue visit
Kenilworth Golf Club has been on my list of must play courses. Today was that day, my playing partners had both played this place before and told me that it is well worth the money we paid considering it was a Saturday. I believe it was more than reasonable. I am a big fan of courses with individual holes and layouts, this is by far one of the best courses for that, that I have played around the Midlands. Fortunately for me my driving was straight which meant my second shots to the green were a lot easier than my friends who were somewhat in the tree lined fairways. I was disappointed that the halfway house wasn’t open. The food and beverages were outstanding and very reasonably priced. The driving range is a little bit down the road but they do appear to have a selection of driving nets not far from the first T.
The course Itself was very mature really good tee boxes really good fairways every bunker had sufficient sand in it to make it a challenge
Well worth a visit
Lovely parkland course with some challenging and interesting holes. All well presented and in good condition. Members were friendly. HS2 only puts a small dent in the scenery. Overall, a fair test and well worth the £35 green fee.
Good course for the price
Good reception when we arrived at the pro shop.
Great pace of play 3hrs 35 but the course was a little off from the last time we came. We enjoyed some good food in the clubhouse.
Overall a good day out and we will be back in the future.
Absolutely stunning
One of the best courses I’ve played in a long time. Each hole offers a different unique challenge, the layout and scenery is beautiful it’s the best looking golf course I’ve ever played. Little details like the club logo in every hole cup and on the tee markers really make a big difference.
I’ll definitely be back to play again, would recommend 10/10
Seve
Lovely course , shame greens were sanded , great layout , staff very friendly and memebers great help and did let us through when we caught them up , defo play again but golf now needs 2 look at there pricing , not worth £50 when greens maintance work being undertaken
Nice course !
Decent course well worth playing accuracy off tee important Good layout all holes have there own character only let down are the fairways obviously have trouble with wet fairways pick and place in use but u do get some muddy lies especially 100 yards in which make chipping a bit tricky ! can imagine must wet in winter only fault otherwise good course and worth playing .
Lovely course, extremely slow pace.
Pros:
- Great pro shop with friendly staff.
- Nice putting green and practice nets to warm up on.
- Lovely course. Extremely well looked after. Rewards a good player but can punish you if you're not playing your best.
Cons:
- Extremely slow pace of play. Lots of slow, elderly groups of 4. Ended up having to skip 4 holes in order to get ahead of the slow groups. Unsure if this is a common theme, but I imagine it is as the club had an older demographic than I'm used to. The club should probably change from 8 to 10 min tee times to help keep a nice pace of play.
If you can get in during a quieter time of the day, you're onto a winner.
Stunning layout, greens could be a little better
Played for £30 on a hot deal and that's great value for money. Some of the members on the course were less than friendly when we encountered them, but some of the others were very nice. The course has a variety of holes threaded through the trees with varying gradients, but nothing too strenuous. Some really lovely par 5s with snaking layout and banked fairways. Thoroughly recommended.
Lovely golf course, green keepers have been doing a great job from tee box to greens.
Will definitely return.
Stunning but disappointed
Stunning course but was really busy, Thursday morning must have been a ladies society or something. Round ruined by a really slow 3 ball who had multiple opportunities to let me through but had no intention, causing queues behind and I walked off after 9 holes. £35 for nine frustrating holes which is a real shame as it’s a lovely club and course.
Great Course shame they don’t serve breakfast
Myself and 6 friends played Kenilworth on Thursday morning at 10:36am. While the course was great and we all enjoyed lunch in the clubhouse afterwards. We were all disappointed when we arrived because we could not get breakfast or even a bacon batch before we teed off. We arrived at 9:30 ready for our day of golf and wanted breakfast to put us on a good start before our game, only to be told they don’t open until 10:30 and all we could have was coffee from a machine. Other than the breakfast issue the course and facilities are great and I would definitely play again and would not hesitate to recommend the course.
