First time on a golf course
Would have appreciated there being someone there to greet me and talk me through expectations and general rules of conduct. The bar facilities and restaurant were all closed and the rules on the website talked more about competition than general conduct.
The online maps of each hole were useful.
Good little course
Played today did not realise it was a 9hole until I turned up ,my fault for not reading the reviews . The best thing about this course is the greens everyone was perfect, found it a little tight in places so you need to be straight off the tee but overall a good course especially if you’re getting on in years like me
So much potential
Played this course many times over last 20 years. It's a hidden gem. I know it has drainage problems and can be closed fir long periods. However, the price should reflect the large areas of gur and the insistence of course management that you use strike mats on fairways is crazy. £18 for 9 holes is too much for this course in its present condition. (Don't get me wrong its beautiful and greens are good). Any responsible golfer will repair divots. Strike mats are ridiculous and too thick. It's not golf.
Really really enjoyed this course today there was a competition on so the pace of play wasn’t the fastest but still very much enjoyed the course.
Good experience
Great little course, and very well maintained. Brilliant value. Highly recommend
Bit of a hidden gem!
Lovely 9 hole course just outside Coventry city centre. Challenging in places and forgiving in others. Great course for all levels. Recommended doing full 18 as the first 9 fly's by! Excited to play there again soon!
Tidy 9 holer
Great little track perfect for an after work knock green we’re excellent but don’t bring your drive accurate irons are needed to score low here
Surprised
The course and layout and greens was so good. The problem is the pace of play due to the mismanagem lent of tee times. Competition was going on and we had to wait for several groups.
Great practice keeping that tee straight
1st hole was nice an open adter that was tempted to keep my driver in the bag as the course is very straight but narrow. Great practice to try keep the Tee straight (which I was not very successful at). Great 9 holes after work would play again when in the area.
Weird place to play
Odd place to play. Couple of blokes selling old clubs and balls outside the sports ground (not exactly a pro shop). No staff in sight. Course was slow and lots of angry people shouting at other people. Weird one
The person selling golf equipment has nothing to do with the golf club and has been moved on by the council. We do not have a pro shop as we are one of 10 sports based on the old GEC factory site and it was an honesty box up until Covid. Sorry you had a bad experience. Chairman.
