Quirky, but enjoyable
The biggest reason we played this course was to avoid the mud, due the huge amount of rain we have experienced recently. Exceptionally well drained. Greens are quite quick, however had weird marking on them, which is apparently due to the machine leaking hydraulic fluid, so I was told.
The course is hilly, so having walked, was shattered by the 17th hole, which showed in my game, but I am not as fit as I was.
Enjoyable afternoon, would do again.
Bully for Bulwell
Played this for first time. Quirky comes to mind but still fun. Not one I’d rush back to play but if you looking for a round you could do a lot worse.
Very average
I’ve played worse. Okay for the money some holes very confusing from geeeb tee. Gave up finding the 16 after playing the 15. Went straight to the 18 instead
Okay
It was okay nothing special. Very tricky mix up of fairways in the front 9 made pace of play even worse. But not bad for the money
Nice little winters course
Had a great time playing although I lost … course for time of year was overal good .. some matts on some tees but good quality so you could get a tee in … nice little pro shop and stuff there very good and the club house does a good breakfast. … good value for money on this course
Golf
Found the course in very good condition, bit to hilly for my legs but holes not to long so was able to play nice & easy golf . For the price the course is great value for money & the greens rated a 7/8 out of 10 for condition & trueness
Welcome round of golf
Returned to play again ….. made to feel very welcome again by club house team and members …. Not a long course but greens are good and course is nice …
Nice tight tidy course
Bullwell forest is not the longest course about but it’s in really good condition and it’s tight so if your a bit wayward, it’s a little challenge for you … green staff out and about friendly to chat too … blowing allleaves off the course , so no issues finding your ball if a bit off target… club house spot on and nice food especially the full breakfast . Defo an inner city course to play if you haven’t
All weather course that’s a bargain
The 2 best things for this course are the value for money and the friendliness of the staff. We were booked for 10:12am but the weather was horrendous, so we had a coffee and waited roughly an hour for the rain to stop before teeing off (an hour and 10 mins later than we should have). The staff were nothing but good and didn’t say anything about us waiting, and considering how much rain we have had the past 2 days the course held up really well. Definitely would recommend trying
Exhausting day
Not what I expected, far too hilly for me and my playing partner. We only completed 16 holes and decided to call it a day. Very hot day too 30 degreesvery energy sapping.
