Cave Castle Hotel & Country Club

We really enjoyed our round here and the course is lovely to play.

We played on a Saturday afternoon and unfortunately there was a huge group of 64 infront of us so the pace of play was much slower than normal.

Overall though a thoroughly enjoyable round.

Given the lack of rainfall recently the greens were in fab condition.

Having paid £30 walked off after 5 holes, 4 groups on a hole

The course over all was okay if you can work out where you have to go to the next tee, also the tee boxes are in poor condition. The other golfers on the course however don’t seem to understand how to let faster players through. One group in front of us was looking for balls in the dried up lake while we was waiting to tee off on one of the par 3’s and when we asked if they would let us through they shrugged it off and continued on in front of us. Later on another pair seemed to have decided to play one whole twice again slowing down play. We walked off after 13 holes as the waiting times weren’t going to improve and the light was getting worse. It’s fair to say we won’t be returning after this experience.

Friendly staff, challenging greens and amazing scenerio. Can get a great price at certain points in the day. Well worth a visit.

Course was in excellent condition but took nearly 5 hours due to the number of 4 balls on the course

Course was overall in good condition, tee boxes was poor and I think their having trouble with crows some of the greens are in a bit of a state. Apart from that the pace of play was good, and the pro was friendly.

Treated my work colleague to a visit .Like myself he loved the course .Two happy golfers that will definitely call again

An enjoyable day on a perfect course, the greens were well manicured and fast, caught me out a few times, some slow play from a foursome in front, could do with a course official when busy
