Stunning course

From entering through the front to leaving the place is stunning we turned up early and booked in the pro shop and told to get off when we are ready as course is clear due to heavy rain. We get our wet gear on and off we went. Every tee box was well presented and views all around we really enjoyed every hole the course was in exceptional condition even in the heavy rain. We will definitely be returning when the sun is shining.. overall a fantasic course and what a finishing hole..

Cave Castle GC South Cave

5 minute walk to the first tee. 6129yds off the yellows & par 72 (37:35). First 9 particularly long. A decent course & well worth playing with its signature 18th hole with lake behind and severe dog-leg. Otherwise It is a bit featureless and lacking in character. The greens had been treated & clearly not watered so these weren’t great. The rest of the course was fine but not exceptional. All bunkers were without sand and were GUR. Good value with Golf Now discount.

Nice course

Lovely course but some of the greens had been moved to fairway to let main greens recover/reseed. Bit disappointed but will put it down to been towards the end of the golf season. Will be back next year

Friendly staff, good course

The staff are the most welcoming of any course I’ve played, both the pro and staff in the clubhouse were great.

The course was a little wet in places but very well kept and had some challenging holes.

Only disappointment was Golf Now had booked us to play with 2 strangers, we were a 2 ball and our tee time was also booked with another 2 ball. Crazy in current COVID times having to play with people who we have never met. Luckily the very accommodating pro managed to squeeze us in so we could play as a 2 ball.

Reasonable For The Money

First time playing here. Members and staff very friendly. We found the course a little bit predictable but its great for high handicappers. The 18th is the best hole on the course. Tricky & good fun. The tees were in poor condition but the greens were mainly good. Not sure we will be back but we got a good deal so feel we got value for money.

Friendly staff

Fantastic welcome in the pro shop on arrival. Very friendly and gave all the information about the course that was needed.

Course in very good condition.

Pace of play was ok for the first 9 holes but after that 3 groups waiting at every tee, so the last 9 holes took over 2 1/2 hours.

Other than the pace of play, I would definitely recommend playing at Cave Castle
