Great council-owned course

Very friendly and chatty club shop pro. Well stocked pro shop and good practice areas. Very relaxed and friendly vibe among those at the tee and on the course. Council do amazingly well with little touches here and there, including sharp edged bunkers and good ball cleaners. A long and challenging course than is the best value in the area.

Huge improvements

Normanby continues to get better and better. You can see that the investment on the course over the last couple of years is coming to fruition and in a couple of months time the course is going to be belting.

It provides a really fair test of your golf game and with the relatively low green fees it's an absolute gem!

Gonna be a belter in spring

Although on a few winter greens the greens that where on were brillant for the amount of rain we’ve had, generally course in good condition for time of year, plenty of work being done around the course with a few holes having new bunkers around the greens, going to be in fantastic condition spring/summer time,as a frequent player of this course all year round looking forward to the warmer drier longer days

Review of round

Pity only 3 greens were being used as love the course , understandably I must add after all the rain . Price didn’t reflect really though , should have been cheaper under the circumstances

Great course, slow play

Had another good round a Normandy Hall. Despite the recent terrible weather there were only 2 holes full closed and a par 5 cot down to a pay 3, the only issue was the slow groups in front of me, as a single player I know I have no rite to be let through from a 4 ball but the fact that they were keeping up with an even slower 2 ball in front of them who wouldn't allow them through probably made no difference to me or the 4 ball.

The staff in the pro shop is always friendly and welcoming. All in all I love this place

Its all about the 3rd hole

Great course layout but it is difficult. The 3rd hole isn't just a dog leg, its 90⁰ turn in the fairway. Super fun to play, not too hilly either. Looking forward to a second round

This course has a good layout but terrible conditions

The “fairways” were atrocious, missing grass and absolutely rock solid. The layout is nice but the conditions just ruin it. Not worth the trip to be honest.

Good course

The only thing letting it down are the fairway bunkers don't have enough sand and it's like playing off a cart path other than that the course is in good condition.
