About
Highly touted Buffalo Creek has been praised for its layout, condition, and overall attention to detail. No matter who you talk to in the DFW area, they all seem to praise the superb condition of the course from tee to green. Offering a 7,078-yard par 71 Jay Morrish/Tom Weiskopf design, Buffalo Creek offers a good combination of holes: straight holes, dogleggers, uphill and downhill shots, and both long and short holes.
One of the best features is the club’s method of using a pin location sheet to mark exactly where each pin is located on a particular day (up to six locations), which is unbelievably helpful to hacks who’ve never played the course before and have no feel for the look and contour of the greens.
Getting there : Take I-30 east from Dallas and exit Ridge Rd. Turn right and find the course 1.6 miles down on the left.

Hit Fairways
Lots of trees on the course.
Great Set up
Miss the fairway and you're in trouble.
Greens rolled smooth and true.
Makes for a pleasant round
Fairways and greens are in good but not excellent shape. Traps are washed out by recent weather and will have to be resanded before playable. Great practice facility. Enjoy
Great value
The course was in great shape. I got a hot deal price and it great course for the value. Greens were in good shape. The gras around the fringe of the greens was thick and made for challenging chipping when missing the green.

Always enjoy this course. Challenging and forgiving at times. Played this past wednsday and it was way to packed. I understand trying to recoup money after the rain storms but 3 groups on every hole is rediculous!

Great facility! Rained day before, driving range was closed, used the chipping and putting areas.
Cart path only, for the first nine; but was able to use fairways the second nine!

This course lacked in every aspect
From check in to course conditions all the way to no control at the starters position. We were a twosome that was behind a fivesome, twosome, single senior & a threesome.
To make matters worse the foursome behind us was playing loud music and would always roll up on us at the tee box & then started hitting in to us.
When we addressed it the punk kids wanted to fight.
What used to be a good course has gone way downhill just like their tore up tee boxes.
We will never play Buffalo Creek again. EVER

great golf for ur money
This course has everything. Fast greens large fairways, challenging holes. I played in January and it was beautiful. Cant wait to play it in the spring.

I visit the Dallas area at least twice a year and never miss a chance to play Buffalo Creek. Beautiful and challenging course with great practice facilities.

Course Conditions Should Be Better
I have been playing this course since it opened. Back then it was one of the best in the area. Over the past few years it has really been disappointing for their course conditions. Not to say that they were god awful but they have major issues with Armadillo's chewing up the fairways.
Bunkers are a joke. It's either hard as concrete or too much sand.
Greens are hit or miss. Not sure I have seen so much weed coming through this time of year. And whomever is cutting the cups should be fired. The old cup placements where they have to use the cut from the current cup to fill are all sticking above the surface of the green.
Is this the standard that American Golf is about. It seems with American Golf they have several courses in one area and only choose to spend money for upkeep on the best one and completely neglect the other.
Considering there are million dollar homes on the course this is unacceptable. This course could be best in the area.
Great Golf and Great Value
It has been a long time since I last played Buffalo Creek and it has grown in nicely. Good course with a nice mix of challenging and straight-forward holes. Condition of the fairways and tees was excellent, but greens were a bit dried out. Traps (and I hit more than a couple of them) need some work. Pro shop staff were excellent and very helpful. Ambassadors were nice and also helpful during play. Worth the drive from Plano to enjoy a new and challenging course.

The course was ok. The greens were a little hard and dry but the weather has been dry. For my first time I played the tips. Cart was uncomfortable and not up to par.
Greens were in really good shape as they are most of the time.
Overall the course was in good shape. Played early and the pace of play was fast, had no wait during the round.
Very Enjoyablr Round
Course was in execellent condition and was a pleasure to play. This course is a somewhat challenging walk but will not be a problem for an expierienced walker.
Like the layout of holes
Course is nice and kept in nice shape. Greens were a little slow from sanding. Tee boxes were rough. But fairways were in great shape. Always like playing here.
