Chilwell Manor Golf Club

I arrived at 10:00 am As it turned out I needed the toilet and the only toilet it seems was in the club house which had not yet been opened If there was another public toilet it was not sign posted

Fortunately one of the members of staff opened the door for me to the club house so I could access the toilet

Hold 8 seemed to follow hole 6 I later discovered hole 7 It’s tee was 300 yards away from the Green of hole 6 ???

In fact there was a general lack of signage (although most courses seem to be like that) Not withstanding the above it was still a good experience

All staff we came in contact with were excellent, the members that we met were helpful the food and amenities are all satisfactory and the course is well appointed and in very good condition and plays well. Suggest this would be a good location for an away day.

Although a little further than we would normally travel to play, this was well worth the effort. Extremely enjoyable round of afternoon golf.

We did play on a Monday afternoon, so enjoyed a less busy time. Course very well maintained and good value for money. Clubhouse and facilities well set up.

For us a little hidden gem of a find

Nice course, nice and flat with a few tricky holes.

Friendly staff and members.

I usually play at Chilwell manor 2 to 3 times a year. I played again yesterday and again very pleased generally with the set up at the club. The fairways and greens were in good condition for the time of year and the staff and members very welcoming. A course well worth a visit if you haven’t played there before,

Course is a nice golfing challenge set amongst local housing estates and contains a mixture of tight and wider fairways to suit all levels. Friendly club staff and the locals were friendly and allowed quicker players through.

A practice net for warm up and a true putting green next to the clubhouse allow for a warm up before venturing out.

Worth a game

Was busy so play was a little slow, caught up with a couple of members who invited me to join them. Course in great condition, challenging and fun, will be back.

Fairways and rough could do with some better maintenance. Fall off the fairway slightly and you are into some deep, thick grass which is too easy to lose your ball. Greens and bunkers were well maintained and the greens were fairly quick too. Thanks to a hot deal, we paid £20 each which I thought was about right for the overall facilities and course condition. Would play again if another deal presented itself.

absolutely great condition, greens were faster than I expected after all the rain we had. it's like the course is in another climate zone.

Warm welcome at the pro shop which is well stocked with those things you might have forgotten along with the normal attire.

Coffee and cold drinks available and the obligatory chocolate.

Course was in very good condition even after some heavy downpours.

Greens were very well kept, and it was a smooth round with no hold up in play at all.

Clubhouse staff were polite and attentive with a good selection of food and drinks , there's seating inside with a large screen sports channel or seats outside under a covered patio by the 18th green.

We will be back, just think the green fee was a little too much as it used to be £18 which was a bargain, if they lowered it they'd get more bookings, better business sense.

This is a good testing course but open enough to allow those "rescue" shots!

I'd recommend this course if you e never played it, better than Trent Lock.

Really enjoyed playing at Chilwell. Greens in great shape and overall course condition very good. Not too long but challenging holes you need to think about on your way round. Good clubhouse and bar facilities as well. Will definitely come back

Decent course. Greens were running nice and probably the best part of the course. Fairways were ok. Nice fun course to play, very flat and tight off the tee so requires a bit of thought plotting around the course. Good course for all levels

Greens were fast and true, fairways were green but the ball still rolled a long way. Rough was not overly punishing and have to say a lot off effort has gone into keeping the course maintained. Thankyou for a great days golf.
