Amazing day out

Weather for Oct was beautiful, first time playing here but can’t wait to return, very hilly but drained lovely greens where brilliant lots to think about and really well kept you are hitting blind to lots of shots just over black and white poles, but loved every hole luckily it was sunny and not too windy, on a windy day it would be a very difficult course

Links raw

On arrival guy in pro shop managed to get me off early not before going through a couple of things about the course which was very helpful. I had a group in front with a member of staff playing so was able to follow them round at a good pace of play. I had to smile because looking back, it was as though someone had just run a mower up and around the landscape and plonked a (decent) green here and there, which is of course, what links golf is. Fairways are kept short by the sheep of which there are not many and they didn’t get in the way whenever I saw them. The only downside was the amount of sheep droppings but it didn’t spoil the round. Overall an enjoyable round, tough walk, but I am 56yr old fat bloke, lots of uphill shots into a stiff breeze but lots of great scenery. Would play again,

Cleeve Hill, top of the world golf.

Majestic views over the Severn valley, with the mountains of Wales visible on the horizon. An inland links course, well kept and with plenty of challenge. A few sheep and hikers occasionally slowed play a little, but that gave us the chance to savour the experience even more. Thoroughly recommended.

Cleeve Hill

Something has to be done about parking

Had to park on muddy slippery verge near main road

My car was damaged by someone struggling to get their car off the verge and they didn’t leave a note

Excellent, fun course, in great condition.

Despite many courses locally being closed or under a foot of water - Cleeve Hill was our go-to again for a last minute round. Course was in great condition - greens a little soft but given the rain they held up well. Fairways in really good condition. If I lived a bit closer I’d join! Decent beer in the clubhouse after.

Excellent view of the Cotswolds

Got there early and sampled the Bacon Rolls / Coffee very Nice ! Course played really well considering the awful weather we have been having, really nice fairways and the greens were good considering the time of year / weather, some of the best views of the Cotswolds I think you will find.overall well worth the Money and we will definitely be Returning.

Everywhere else was closed….

Booked this last minute as original nearby course was closed. This course is stunning and, considering how lousy the weather has been for days leading up to our round, the fairways were firm and the greens impressive. Gusts of 40mph added to the challenge of the hike, but worth it for the views and the naturally sculpted holes. Not a course for the ageing golfer, and be ever mindful of the ramblers also enjoying the scenery. Catering before and after was fine, but it has the sense of a struggling business. Hope it survives because we would come back

Superb Track

Excellent condition considering the appalling weather we've had recently. A couple of wet patches in places, but overall very impressed. Great value for money at £35 and the views are something else. Will definitely be returning later in the year now I know my way around the course. Seriously underrated in my opinion.

Stunning

course is absolutely stunning,

links type course on top a hill with views miles around

we played on a beautiful but very windy day,

lots of very different spectacular holes.

lots of blind holes so definately your second of third round will be better

wind was a nice challenge but the wide fairways help

greens were in perfect condition

Pro shop reception warm and welcoming - thanks Giles

coffee excellent

a new favourite course.. I will be back
