The course is challenging
Really enjoyed the challenge. The course is pretty tight in places with the river and ditches placed strategically. You have to think about your shots carefully and plot your way round. The greens were in great condition and ran very true.Only grumble we had was the green keeper kept the lawnmower going near us while we tried to consentrate, unprofessional behaviour.Overall would definitely recommend this course.
Coprswood golf 1st time
On arrival parking was very hard asa lot of team were playing football. Understandable on a Sunday .. found course easily but no one on site so picked up our scorecards from an empty hut..after that the course was pretty decent to be fair , thegreens were well looked after and bunkers really well kept overall pretty good course for the price only a 9 hole course so you play it twice.
Tight but brilliant
Absolutely brilliant golf course tight all round which makes for some fantastic golf, I will/do still use this course
impressed
I have been playing this course for many years one or two times a year. It is currently in excellent condition and I will be playing more regularly if possible. In particular, the greens are in superb condition and I would say you'd be hard pushed to find anywhere better.
The only small criticism I have is that the online booking system only allows a very small window for booking a tee time (24hrs). This could be extended so it's a little more reasonable.
Copeswood Grange
This is a lovely 9 hole course, with tightish fairways and raised greens. There are a couple of tees shots where you're looking to either draw or fade it too, so lots to keep you on your toes.
I can only agree with other reviews to say that this is well worth a visit, The greens were excellent, and the tees and fairways didn't let the course down either.
It's not totally clear where the course is once the GPS gets you to the car park, but you have to walk your clubs back towards the road, and the course is opposite just before you get back to the road.
Still Good Value!
First time back at Copsewood since June 2021, course is in great shape and despite it being an early afternoon slot on a weekday, it was very busy.
Went round with 2 friendly members who invited me to join them to speed things up. They told me Copeswood has gained a lot of members from Brandon GC closing , as it’s still the best value club in local area, but the downside to that is, it’s very popular and 9 holes took just over 2 hours.
All in all , you can’t really moan as it’s still great value for less than £20 a round.
9 Holes
Just played a quick 9 holes towards the end of the day, course is tight but the greens are great. Value for money is excellent.
The course is in great condition
The course and staff are great and polite, there are plenty of features to keep you on your guard aswell as lots of trees which make the course quite tight, you have to hit a straight ball.
No staff, no anything
Arrived ahead of tee time on a wet Sunday morning. Parking not signed and when realised where, it's a five minute walk back up the car park.
Absolutely no one around to ask anything, really had to make it up as we went along.
Winter tees, fair enough, but almost impossible to insert into the mat.
Course held up well, why no flag on the 5th?
We gave up after 9, our choice but given the above some form of refund or credit would be great.
Tough course for beginners
Enjoyed playing this course with an member but it's tough for beginners.
Fairways are very narrow so you need have your A Game with the Drivers/Woods otherwise you'll be on holes either side of your or losing balls in hazards.
Course was in fantastic condition and it's an great 9 hole course which id recommend to players with experience.
