Disley Golf Club

Due to the dry conditions the greens where a little bumpy the staff where very helpful pro very helpful when we arrived

An interesting course with some challenging holes all in good condition. Fine views of surrounding countryside from course and clubhouse. Friendly staff and excellent value for a visitor.

Absolutely chuffed I chose Disley golf club, the course is not easy but is open enough to tempt you into making some silly choices, the course is in many different cambers meaning you need to place you’re tee shots with precision, otherwise what looks like a very good shot can kick left or right and leave you in the bushes!

Overall I loved it, great chats along the way with a few members and had a chance to take in the gorgeous views along the way too.

We drove an hour to play and weren't disappointed. Condition was generally good, although the greens were a bit below par in places (we could see that they'd been hollow tined and top dressed fairly recently and probably not seen much rain). Quite hilly in parts, leading to some annoying bounces if the wrong part of the course is found (local knowledge would have helped).

We'll definitely be back.

Arrived at 7am as we was due to start at 7.40am, club house closed despite website stating opening at 7.30, first time playing so couldn't sign in and no score caed etc....

Lovely course well kept and very friendly staff and members.

Only improvements would be some sign posting for the tee boxes and some fairway or green markers for the blind tee boxes

The condition of the course was really good except for the greens which were crying out for water and consequently rather bumpy.The rest of the course was superb and I’m sure after a little rain it will be top notch.

Good challenging course, maintaining the greens in prep for the season which is good to see.

Half way house was open and serving.

Generally good and would like to play again now I have a feel for the layout.

Had a brilliant round at Disley GC, the staff were excellent and the Captain Brian was very welcoming :) The course was in great condition for the time of year and the amount of rainfall we’ve had. Will be playing there again

Im new to golf so after it held a bonfire night the night before I was surprised with the condition on the fairways absolutely immaculate the greens were brilliant nice and clean.

Considering I hit 92 with only playing golf for 3 months I dont think it's bad atal I was expecting a bad round with it being winter i was expecting all soggy fairways and paths but I was surprised with how clean and fresh it was.

Lovely little course on the edge of Cheshire. Played at the last minute with a hot deal. Greens running fast and true despite heavy rain over the last 24 hours. Some interesting holes and more challenging than the slope would suggest with most of the greens having a lot of break to take into account.

Course was in excellent condition, weather was excellent but all members of our 3 ball found it challenging. The course is fairly hilly, there are beautiful views. The greens started very slow, were bobbly as they had been recentl aerated, but speeded up as the sun dried them out and also we all found them hard to read.

A couple of things were frustrating: (1) There are no distance markers or signs advising where the next tees are, also no map to show where to go. (2) There are a few tees where you drive across the previous hole, one over the green meaning you have to wait for others to play. Looking at the course and space available, all these could be probably avoided by moving the tee boxes.

Overall a very good course for the price but high handicappers may find it too challenging.

Great value for money. Great course, greens quick. Played with 3 local guys who had played there before and were helpful in advice on the course. Would recommend.
