Marple Golf Club

Have played here before and enjoyed it thoroughly.

However the proshop was closed on arrival 1.30 pm and as we found out later when confronted by another player we should have been given mats off the fairway.

Funnily enough it was the first fairway i had hit that round as well.

Would have been 5 stars across the board if not for the above reason.

Great course and given the cost of living expenses today only fair to offer more "Golf Now" price busters for those strapped for cash or unemployed.

Ps- a course layout on the scorecard would have proved extremely useful along with directional Arrows for those new to the course.

A beautiful course , not very difficult but you need to put the ball in play or not to try over powering it . Lots of great views in the surrounding area , very friendly members and staff, the course was slightly wet in places because unbelievably fast when it drys out. The most impressive things were the greens unreal for this time of year fair play to the green staff 👏🏻👏🏻

The weather the day before was appaling. Marple had 17 holes open the following day. Obviously wet but very playable on the greens as well.

Henry in the Pro Shop gave a warm welcome and was super helpful.

Only 11 holes open due to the weather but the greens are still great. Was offered the choice to play as many times as I liked.

I look forward to playing again when we have dried out a touch and I can play the closed holes.

Members were really friendly too.

Been playing here for the past few months and despite the erratic weather we've had in winter, thr condition has always been brilliant.

A great course with par 3s and several par 4s , some of which are short and some long. One nice par 5 at the end.

Staff are friendly and its such a great price.

Brilliant course, cheap, well-maintained and friendly staff. Play could be a little quicker but not too bad

We had a great day at Marple, really heavy rain the previous few days but the course was in great condition. Everyone agreed from those new to golfing to the more experienced golfers it was a fair test and you always felt you had a chance. Greens were excellent and true

Fantasic course that is very well maintained. Lots of opportunity to shoot a good score but putting needs to be on point as the greens are quick and very receptive. Hit my first ever hole in 1 on the 17th par 3. Shame no one was in the bar to receive a free drink. Will definitely return for another round

What a great little course, tricky first time as a few fairways cross so finding the right line not easy, good fun, not too long, more positional, very hot day, great views over Stockport to Manchester in the distance, beyond to Runcorn! Great Value at £30 (less if you can play earlier) Definately play again!

We booked on golf now not knowing there was a lady’s competition on and we where at the back of the last 3 ball had some good banter with the lady’s on our way round and watched them hit some great drives the course was really good had a beer in the clubhouse after and spoke to the lady captain about her upcoming cruise made really welcome lovely course lovely staff and the members are really friendly

Short but immaculate course a credit to green keepers the greens were in fabulous condition true and quick

Played Marple golf course today,

Course was in great condition and is a lovely course to play, A wide variety of holes and a few risk reward holes, We really enjoyed playing and we will return at some point
