The Quarry Golf Course

Love the back 9 in the Quarry !! The starter guy was really nice and had great info on the course and good recommandations for another course in the region.

I’m a first timer at The Quarry - in town from the northeast. Was able to snag a hot deal for $80, which seems reasonable. The driving range isn’t anything to write home about, and paying $10 for a small bag of range balls….really?

The course: I like the openness of the course - fits my eye . The fairways were firm and greens were in great shape! For me, the back nine was what really made my day! It was such a different experience than the front nine, and definitely makes me want to come back. If I’m ever nearby, I’d definitely come back for another round.

Outstanding experience from the greeting staff that brought our clubs from vehicle to golf cart to the shop staff directing us to great products at fantastic prices! “Len” the starter paired us with a wonderful member “Lisa” that was so kind and very helpful. Facilities were outstanding! Clean, extremely well maintained, old school club that made you feel right at home! On course amenities, Marshals and beverage cart were outstanding! Facilities on the course were well stocked and very clean!

* Course plays short. May want to Tee off one Tee box further back than normal.

Staff was incredibly friendly and available. From bag drop to club cleaning and club reloading, every person I dealt with was a pleasure to work with. This was the best public course Ive ever played as it gave amazing private member treatment to us on our first go. Came back and played 4 days later because it was too much fun to turn down. Excellent value for the price.

Great course I love this course play it every time I come to San Antonio

Had a great time course was in great shape, staff really friendly, and pace of play was fast! Great views on the back 9 around the quarry.

It’s a very nice course but there courses just as nice in the area for a far better price

Beautiful layout and very playable. Like the staff and the servers at the restaurant. A must play in San Antonio.

There was a group of 6 ahead of us that the starter broke up at the start, but they got together again after playing the first hole. It appeared the starter approached them again around hole 6, but no changes were made. 5somes are bad enough and should not be allowed, but 6 is outrageous especially during a weekend round. Staff doesn't seem to care about managing their own course.

Ok. Here goes nothing, let me start off by saying the entire area got a ton of rain over the past few days so.... cart path only! Nothing the course can do about Mother nature. I hover around a 12 handicap. I normally play standard men's white tee. Since no white tee on card O played the middle men's tee titled championship. Course is short on the card but played longer today due to the soft conditions. My group played lift clean and place. And let me tell ya mud mud and more mud on the ball. Tee and greens were in great shape. Ball rolled true. I am guessing in better weather they would be on the fast side. Today a little on the slow side. The surrounding area on the front is wide open the back is tighter and has rock cliffs and Boulders everywhere. If you are striking it well, and keeping it straight (ish) posting a good score is more than possible. 77 for me today, (key was playing it straight and no penalties). I would recommend this to anyone who wants to play an visually stimulating course and have tons of fun. Staff was great and food and drink was more than reasonable.
