The Quarry Golf Course

I counted five groups on the tenth hole as I made the turn! No marshal anywhere

I play here anytime a deal is available because it's so fun.

We haven’t played this one in years. Our tee time was at 12:50, we were paired up with 2 other singles and the Starter had use going off on time. The course was a steady pace, 4-somes on each hole, and we saw the Marshall a couple times. It took us 4 hours and 20 minutes to play 18…but somehow the pace was not too slow. Our cart seemed to be on high-lock down mode as we were on the cart path it would begin to beep telling us we were in restricted area, and that was a pain (spent lots of time in reverse trying to get out of seemingly passable spots!). The conditions were good, the fairways/greens were slow from the rain, but course was in overall good shape. I think we saw the beverage cart 2-3 times during our round, but we brought our own water. Thank goodness the temp was only 89 when we started so it wasn’t over 100 when we entered the back nine down in the no-air zone! If we can find another good rate, we would play again.

Looked like they just punched the greens a couple days ago and then cut them short recently so they were a little bumpy but still rolled pretty good. Fairways were very well kept. Had a lot of fun at this course

This course is always in good shape and the staffs are very friendly and accommodating..

I had not play the Quarry for several years, having been overseas. It is a course I wanted to play again when I returned to San Antonio. I am a bit put off by the "rack rate" tee time price (about $100) so I waited for a "Hot Deal" from Golf Now that fit my schedule.

When I arrived at the course I was disappointed to kearn that they had just that morning verticut the greens. I was also disappointed that the course charged me for a warm up bag of range balls. It seems like nickel and diming. But I was pleased to play there again, even with slow and uneven greens. I'd recommend it to anyone who love a beautiful layout and challenge.

Cool atmosphere with 9 in the Alamo quarry. Greens were recently aerated which made them super slow.

No indication greens were punched until arriving at first green. Driving range was irons only and on mats. Beautiful layout hampered by greens conditions.

I really enjoyed this course even with how hot it was. I like the way it’s laid out. The staff were all very friendly . The pace of play could have been better. I was blown away by how nice the course was. I’ll definitely recommend playing at this course, just be sure to have sunscreen on.
