About
Silverhorn Golf Club of Texas, located only 15 minutes from San Antonio's Riverwalk, has quickly gained a reputation as being some of the best golf in Texas. The layout covers 262 scenic acres of rolling hills covered in mature oaks and cedar trees. The challenging golf course features tree-lined fairways and carefully contoured greens. There are also lakes and creeks, both dry and wet, coming into play throughout the golf course. The front nine's signature hole is the par-5 sixth, which has 20 acres of water bordering the entire left side, while the back nine's signature is the par-4 15th, which is considered the toughest hole on the golf course. This 446-yard hole features an elevated green that is guarded by a large bunker on the left and two creeks crossing the fairway.

Great experience
First time playing this course. I’ve played most of the big ones in the SA area and I will definitely be back soon. 5 stars.
Nice Layout
Track has a very cool layout. Greens are in great shape; however, it is at the cost of the area around d the greens. Lots of really soft, if not muddy areas around the greens. I can deal with that. They MUST get a Marshall on the course and increase the pace of play. A five hour round on a random Tuesday afternoon is not acceptable.
Silverhorn Golf Club
Fun design with hill country surroundings. Friendly staff, good bev cart and nice 19th hole. Excellent Texas feel.
Not quite sure why this course has consistently the slowest pace of play in town, no matter what time of year. . Nor do I understand why the course is always so wet and muddy on the approach to greens. Beautiful layout, but oh that pace of play. Gracious.

Every time in San Antonio always make a stop at Silver horn
Nice course
Silverhorn has always been a nice course. I just wish they hadn’t gotten cheap and removed all the water buckets.
Great Course but beware
Hardest course in SAT, but in summer beware no water on course, bring some yourself. Also grab a wet towel no ball washers....or use puddles.
