About
Silverhorn Golf Club of Texas, located only 15 minutes from San Antonio's Riverwalk, has quickly gained a reputation as being some of the best golf in Texas. The layout covers 262 scenic acres of rolling hills covered in mature oaks and cedar trees. The challenging golf course features tree-lined fairways and carefully contoured greens. There are also lakes and creeks, both dry and wet, coming into play throughout the golf course. The front nine's signature hole is the par-5 sixth, which has 20 acres of water bordering the entire left side, while the back nine's signature is the par-4 15th, which is considered the toughest hole on the golf course. This 446-yard hole features an elevated green that is guarded by a large bunker on the left and two creeks crossing the fairway.

Good Value
Due to rain the pace of play has excellent. Course is challenging due to tree line fairways on most holes. I was able to get an Eagle on a par 5 which always makes the round enjoyable.
Way Overpriced
This is not, not, not, not worth a $100 round!!!!! Compared to other courses in the area, this does not stand out!!!!!! There are other courses just as good for half the price!!!!! Service was minimal, layout was ok few holes are really good. There is nothing about this course that justifies $110 for a round!!!!!!!!! For this kind of money there should be a cart attendant to load up your clubs and clean them when you are done. Won't be back anytime soon!!!!!
Entire 4some was disappointed
Course is in great shape, no issue there.
We played in the afternoon. No Marshall, pace of play became a problem.
No water on the course. Cart girl left early.
Who in south Texas isn't providing water?
That became the conversation after the turn and dominated the conversation instead of the course conditions.
For the money, think we can find a more comfortable course, won't be back any time soon which is a shame.
Bees
Half of the greens are overrun by murder hornets that are 3 inches long. They also tear up the greens and create random mounds of dirt all over the greens. There is also not one water point through out the whole course, except for the club house of course. Otherwise it's a decent course but not really worth the money.
Annoying Course
Been playing here for many years. It continues to get worse every time I play it. No water on the course is a joke. It’s 100 degrees outside and you’re lucky to see bev cart twice. Tee boxes are atrocious specially #16. Speaking of carts, get new ones. $8 for a hotdog is just dumb. Yep, last time I play this place until new ownership or competent management.
Fantastic place to play!
I live in Houston and my buddy lives in SA. When we get together for golf, this is the first place I check for availability. I love the layout and we've never played here and the course not be in top condition. Play this course if you haven't yet, you won't be disappointed.
