About
Silverhorn Golf Club of Texas, located only 15 minutes from San Antonio's Riverwalk, has quickly gained a reputation as being some of the best golf in Texas. The layout covers 262 scenic acres of rolling hills covered in mature oaks and cedar trees. The challenging golf course features tree-lined fairways and carefully contoured greens. There are also lakes and creeks, both dry and wet, coming into play throughout the golf course. The front nine's signature hole is the par-5 sixth, which has 20 acres of water bordering the entire left side, while the back nine's signature is the par-4 15th, which is considered the toughest hole on the golf course. This 446-yard hole features an elevated green that is guarded by a large bunker on the left and two creeks crossing the fairway.

Good course overall
The course is always fun to play. There’s plenty of wildlife to look at as well. If you’re bringing a friend that does not have clubs this is not the place to rent them overpriced and not a good quality.
We played early in the week and the pace of clay was pretty slow. I was surprised they didn’t have a Marshall.
Driving range is great and the hospitality is great also. 3 1/2 stars out of five for San Antonio.
Miserable pace of play
Too many tee times. Pace of play was horrible. When we got called to the tee box for our time, there was one group on the tee box, a group waiting behind them, then our group. Left after 12 holes, couldn’t manage a 6.5 hour round.
Great shape and even better pace of play for a Sunday afternoon
Can’t say much bad a couple of greens need some work but other then that it was great.
Good Value
Due to rain the pace of play has excellent. Course is challenging due to tree line fairways on most holes. I was able to get an Eagle on a par 5 which always makes the round enjoyable.
Way Overpriced
This is not, not, not, not worth a $100 round!!!!! Compared to other courses in the area, this does not stand out!!!!!! There are other courses just as good for half the price!!!!! Service was minimal, layout was ok few holes are really good. There is nothing about this course that justifies $110 for a round!!!!!!!!! For this kind of money there should be a cart attendant to load up your clubs and clean them when you are done. Won't be back anytime soon!!!!!
Entire 4some was disappointed
Course is in great shape, no issue there.
We played in the afternoon. No Marshall, pace of play became a problem.
No water on the course. Cart girl left early.
Who in south Texas isn't providing water?
That became the conversation after the turn and dominated the conversation instead of the course conditions.
For the money, think we can find a more comfortable course, won't be back any time soon which is a shame.
