About
Silverhorn Golf Club of Texas, located only 15 minutes from San Antonio's Riverwalk, has quickly gained a reputation as being some of the best golf in Texas. The layout covers 262 scenic acres of rolling hills covered in mature oaks and cedar trees. The challenging golf course features tree-lined fairways and carefully contoured greens. There are also lakes and creeks, both dry and wet, coming into play throughout the golf course. The front nine's signature hole is the par-5 sixth, which has 20 acres of water bordering the entire left side, while the back nine's signature is the par-4 15th, which is considered the toughest hole on the golf course. This 446-yard hole features an elevated green that is guarded by a large bunker on the left and two creeks crossing the fairway.

It’s been awhile... still a nice course!
Haven’t played Silverhorn in years but grabbed my clubs and went with a buddy of mine and had a great time. The course was in good condition, although the greens had some divots that weren’t repaired or were poorly repaired. No issues with pace of play and the beer cart came around twice per side. Book a round, you won’t regret it.

Greens were terribly slow. Absolutely no doll on the putts.

Good secret
Very nice course even as dry that it has been greens are very receptive pace of play very slow but would recommend for sure if you are visiting or seeing the sites here this is a course you should try.

Amazing Course to play
First time playing at this course and was such a great experience. The course was well taken care of. I didn’t feel rushed and seem like everyone was on playing at a steady pace so it didn’t make you feel rushed. Overall, it was a great course and would come back.

Great Golf Course
I love playing golf at Silverhorn, I play here every time I visit the great City of San Antonio. You won’t be disappointed.

Good course but poor management
The course conditions were excellent along with the friendliness of the cart personnel, but the management of how the course was run today was terrible.
-Round was started on the back 9 (hole 10), yet a twosome (playing out of 1 bag and 1 totally new golfer) was started on hole 1 when we were making the turn on an already busy course
-The clubhouse never addressed the twosome, even with a member of our group contacting them, immediately, by phone from the course
-This decision to start a twosome on the back 9 of an already busy course destroyed the pace of play for the entire course and, even, caused a member of our group to stop playing after hole 11
Because I play several times a week I have an opportunity to see a lot things at courses and this was, by far, one of the worse decisions of course management I have ever encountered.
Again, the course was in great shape (credit to the superintendent) and starting on the back 9 is less than desirable based on how this course is laid out, but sometimes necessary. However, there’s no reason to start a new group on the back 9 of an already busy course causing the pace of play to come to a screeching halt for everyone and, then, fail to properly address the issue when it’s brought to your attention.
Cards?
Score cards would be nice...they offer a good website to score...but it doesn’t help when they tell you pin placement and you don’t know where that is on the green

Love this place
This is my home course. Can’t beat the price and the course is in beautiful shape right now. Long narrow challenging drives, great greens, and fun holes! 10 out of 10 recommend for any level of golfer. The selection for food and drinks is great as well!
