About
Silverhorn Golf Club of Texas, located only 15 minutes from San Antonio's Riverwalk, has quickly gained a reputation as being some of the best golf in Texas. The layout covers 262 scenic acres of rolling hills covered in mature oaks and cedar trees. The challenging golf course features tree-lined fairways and carefully contoured greens. There are also lakes and creeks, both dry and wet, coming into play throughout the golf course. The front nine's signature hole is the par-5 sixth, which has 20 acres of water bordering the entire left side, while the back nine's signature is the par-4 15th, which is considered the toughest hole on the golf course. This 446-yard hole features an elevated green that is guarded by a large bunker on the left and two creeks crossing the fairway.

Great course
A nice challenging course which is in great shape. This course offers plenty of great natural views with wildlife throughout. The course.. A great course for a weekend round.

Muddy but fun
This course absorbs a lot of water after rain. It was cart path only the day I went which was frustrating yet definitely necessary given how wet the ground was. The driving range and putting green were both closed which seemed a little odd to me but such is life. Fun track, pace of play was great, and it was a fun day!

This was my first time playing Silverhorn. The layout is awesome course is in wonderful condition. And book a tee time for next Saturday already.

Nice Course
Pros: Beautiful Course; Friendly Staff
Cons: They didn’t tell us that there was a tournament that day and the Marshall had us to skip two holes.
Pros: The manager found us on hole 17 and rectified the situation. The manager was very sweet.

First time...great experience
Because of covid19 it was walking only but this is an easy course to walk. I enjoyed the challenge of the course...it’s not easy, require drives in the fairway. It was a little wet and slow because of overnight rain but no complaints. I will be coming back..

Great Shape - Recommend Playing Here
Arrived 30 minutes before my tee-time - the course got some reason was not busy! The gentleman in the clubhouse said I could wait for others or press on - 5 stars due to this kindness!
Fairways, rough and greens getting in nice shape - really not much to complain about, they are doing very well.
It remains walking only due to virus, but this course is not a difficult walk.
Price is within average range for quality of the course. I will return.

Fabulous course conditions
Appreciate the course being open during the Covid 19 issues. Course is in great shape.....especially the greens! Kudos to the greens keeping crew. Was able to play on a weekday and pace of play was excellent.

Beautiful Greens
Scenic track, lots of deer and water. The greens were very good and eye catching because of a blue/green dyed fertilizer.

Great time to see play 18!
Course in great shape despite a week of rain. Greens are in the best condition I have ever seen. Driving range was closed but putting green was open. Cart path only due to rains. You had option to ride alone. Grill closed but a cart girl was on the course.

nice course, but...
I've played Silverhorn a few times and always enjoy my round. Tough course in decent condition. Lots of GUR and construction going on...installing drainage I think.
Pace was slow today,,,foursome in front of us was slow with no one in front of them. No marshals to speed things up. I've usually paid an online deal when playing Silverhorn but none were available 3/14 ...$80 is a bit pricey for this course.
So, a nice course but pricey and slow today.

Due to sewer pipes collapsing under our golf course last December, there have been ongoing repairs taking place at the course. Fortunately, this project was recently completed and our team is in the process of having the course restored in areas that were destructed from the repairs. We have assured that this work does not affect play for our golfers, but we appreciate your patience & understanding during this time. We value your patience regarding the pace of play as well and all of your feedback has been escalated to our team for potential improvements.
