SilverHorn Golf Club of Texas
About
Silverhorn Golf Club of Texas, located only 15 minutes from San Antonio's Riverwalk, has quickly gained a reputation as being some of the best golf in Texas. The layout covers 262 scenic acres of rolling hills covered in mature oaks and cedar trees. The challenging golf course features tree-lined fairways and carefully contoured greens. There are also lakes and creeks, both dry and wet, coming into play throughout the golf course. The front nine's signature hole is the par-5 sixth, which has 20 acres of water bordering the entire left side, while the back nine's signature is the par-4 15th, which is considered the toughest hole on the golf course. This 446-yard hole features an elevated green that is guarded by a large bunker on the left and two creeks crossing the fairway.

Trees
I think I hit every tree on this course (lol) it’s very nice course, some greens are needing repairs and the bunkers were tore up by deer and players, oh and the trees.
Nice course okay condition
Silverhorn is a great layout with lots of challenges via trees and narrow fairways. The greens are decent but this time of year there are lots of tree debris on the greens which also need to be rolled more often. All in all, great course in a central location.
Great course but tough.
One of the best environments for a beer and food after your round.
Great golf course
Was in San Antonio for the weekend and decided to play a little golf. After some basic research we picked Siverhorn. Great GC, pleasant staff, and the course was awesome!
10/10 would play here again!
A little sloppy
The course was in decent condition. It had rained the day before. Indications that they also watered the course creating sloppy conditions, some around the greens.
Other than that it was a good round.?
Bring Deep Woods OFF
The course was in very good condition. Get hole information before your first time. several surprise hazards...
If going before it gets really cool, bring bug spray. There LOTS of big mosquitos, especially in the low areas on 8-9 and 17-18.
Great Golf Course and Staff
I have always enjoyed playing this course. The employees are very helpful and friendly. I have played a couple of time as a single golfer and have always had and enjoyable experience with the other golfers. This time on Saturday, November 16 there were A LOT of mosquitoes from hole 9 - the end of the course. I don’t know why this is, I’ve never had this experience there before. Quite honestly I have never experienced mosquitoes like that before ever. There were 8 -10 on your arms and legs at any given moment, you couldn’t kill them fast enough and they kept coming. That golf cart looked like a crime scene.
Mosquitoes
I made a last minute reservation for a tee time for 3. Course is beautiful with wildlife everywhere. Noticed a few large mosquitoes upon arrival in the parking lot. Put on bug spray and played 8 holes without an issue. 9th hole brought about the craziest mosquitoes I’ve ever witnessed. There were clouds of angry aggressive mosquitoes that didn’t care if you had bug repellent on or not. Was so bad, that we had to leave right after the holeS
Nice!
Nice condition even after some of the recent rain. Fairways were real nice and greens rolled pretty well. Pace of play was good. Range was a little shaggy, but OK for quick warm up. Lots of deer. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Already planning my next round there!
