About
Canyon Springs Golf Club is a true Hill Country course. You need to stay on the fairways or bring plenty of balls. Using an old farm to build on this choice piece of Texas real estate, this land has been artfully transformed into what many golfers will refer to as among the very best of what Texas has to offer. With five sets of tee boxes on each hole, demanding greens, natural Hill Country surroundings and magnificent limestone waterfalls on two holes, this 7,000-plus-yard course presents a significant challenge to event the most experienced golfers (and even those who think they are).

Round on Monday 5/15
Greens are still a mess and way to slow for Canyon Springs standards. I've always loved this track but most of all the greens. Not at all these days!!!
Canyon Springs greens were in poor shape
Canyon Springs is one of my favorite courses in San Antonio. Great layout. However the greens were in poor shape. I found out from the staff that the damage was man made and not do to nature/weather. To still charge $100 for a course that had damaged greens and not offer some sort of discount was quite surprising and disappointing.
Speedsters
Pace of play is crazy fast here. I’m not putting this on the course but if your trying to play with a kid - look elsewhere. We were pushed hard by about 4 different groups
Good value
Greens were top dressed and one had a large area removed for re-sodding
Nice layout, bad greens
Almost all green were bare with green seed strips running through them and fairways only sparsely grassed.. Not worth the price in this condition.
Even for early spring and drought conditions the course played pretty true. A few places you get a lot more run out on tee shots and end up through a fairway you wouldn’t otherwise drive through. Nice course. I’ll go back.
Course was dry & greens need help
Have been playing this course for the past 10 years. I had not played it in over 18 months due to moving out of town. I heard the greens were replanted last year(?). The course was very dry and the greens were not in good shape. Course is playable but was surprised at the condition of the greens. There are comparably priced courses in much better shape within 10 mile radius.
Course shape was disappointing
Not worth the green fees compared to other courses in the area. Tee boxes were terrible, several greens were in rough shape. This course used to be one the best courses in town. Just not worth the price.
