Canyon Springs Golf Club is a true Hill Country course. You need to stay on the fairways or bring plenty of balls. Using an old farm to build on this choice piece of Texas real estate, this land has been artfully transformed into what many golfers will refer to as among the very best of what Texas has to offer. With five sets of tee boxes on each hole, demanding greens, natural Hill Country surroundings and magnificent limestone waterfalls on two holes, this 7,000-plus-yard course presents a significant challenge to event the most experienced golfers (and even those who think they are).

I wished it were better
Issues:
Pace of play (5+ hours)
Tee box conditions - Markers put in places you couldn't get an even lie on the tee box. And grass was dying
Greens - Okay, but dead patches.
I know its been rough with doubt and heat, but they should at least manage pace of play, and put tee markers on a level spot of the tee box.
Starter / Ranger told us 5 times he babysat groups in front to speed up... But it didn't happen.
Really wanted it to be a good round as its a pretty, and challenging course.
Love Canyon
My home course. Greens are finally in great shape. Pace of play is sometimes good but I always expect some hold up. Can’t beat the layout for a public course
Challenging Course
Greens were hard from the heat and pace was slow but other than that it was a great day! Excellent test of golf.

Canyon Springs has a challenging layout, solid practice area and was in good shape. It was a pretty hot day and play got backed up. Still a good day!
Great
I loved this track. I would hate to walk this one. The greens were perfect. Gorgeous coarse.
Greens in BAD condition
I'm not sure what is going on with the greens but they were in very bad conditions. Sand and patches of dead grass throughout.
Pace of play
The pace of play was extremely slow. We were on the 12 tee at about 3+hrs and it was getting slower. There was no attempt by the marshall to speed the pace up.
Round on Monday 5/15
Greens are still a mess and way to slow for Canyon Springs standards. I've always loved this track but most of all the greens. Not at all these days!!!
