Canyon Springs Golf Club is a true Hill Country course. You need to stay on the fairways or bring plenty of balls. Using an old farm to build on this choice piece of Texas real estate, this land has been artfully transformed into what many golfers will refer to as among the very best of what Texas has to offer. With five sets of tee boxes on each hole, demanding greens, natural Hill Country surroundings and magnificent limestone waterfalls on two holes, this 7,000-plus-yard course presents a significant challenge to event the most experienced golfers (and even those who think they are).

Had to wait an hour to play w a pre scheduled t time. Asked for range balls which should of been offered free by the way , but was told they were all the way back at the clubhouse Butthem watched club members get range balls right there where we were standing.
Great Course Slow Pace of Play
I really like this course, but the pace of play on this day was horrible! I ended up leaving after 9 holes. I normally play there and this is the first time that I left after 9 holes due to frustration with the pace of play.
Always a must play
I’ve been playing this course for the 13 years I’ve traveled to the area. The course is a great layout and challenging to play. Greens and grass mostly dormant this time of year but still in good shape.
South Texas.
I had a 10:50 tee time and when I checked in the starter informed me they had a frost delay of over an hour in the morning. He still got our group off right on time. I’m sure they put guys out a little close together but the round was just about 4:20 minutes or so. Love the lay out and love the staff.
Canyon Springs.
This is one of my favorites in the San Antonio area. It will be one of yours once u try it. Top notch all the way throughout. On 18 is as good of finishing hole as anywhere with water falls and toughness.
Greens too fast
Greens were extremely fast...almost unplayable due to firmness and speed for most of the weekend warriors! It is possible to putt off the green with little to no fringe to hold the balls also severe slopes and no rough on the slopes.
