Canyon Springs Golf Club

First time playing here and I really enjoyed it! Well worth the money! Very scenic course with well manicured grass and nice greens! Can't wait to play it again!

Very fun course and upscale amenities at a very reasonable price-
Driving range is great- limited chipping and practice bunker area a drawback.
Putting green is large, but use pegs instead of cutting holes

Greens were excellent as were the fairways. Slow play was the only bad part.

Excellent course. Very difficult and long. If you miss the fairway your ball is gone. Greens are large with a lot of contouring. Greens had been sanded which didn't help.

Always enjoy this course. Interesting and challenging holes. A lot of variety. Requires most clubs in the bag. Course plays differently each time as the greens are large and pin placements change the hole in many instances. Worth playing.

Canyon Springs golf course is in excellent condition and fun to play.

Extremely slow play, 35 handicap foursome would not let us play through, average time on each hole was 30 minutes. Never saw a course marshall. Lots of beginners on the course hitting each shot about 30 yards. Almost got killed by a drive from group behind us, probably frustration from having to wait on every hole. Played on a gift card, tried to spend remainder in club house; however prices were so high I walked out.

Although the greens were fertilized (sandy) and we did not know that prior to arriving or upon arriving they putted rather consistently...having played the course the fertilized greens did not hinder us from enjoying the course....we were a bit confused about white tees as there was no indication of them on the scorecard but they played well anyway....if we ever play again we would probably move back to the copper tees....I would recommend playing this course for the average to the better players....it was very enjoyable....the often uneven lies in fairways was a challenge and the undulating greens were even more fun to try to score on....we loved the place...

A challenging course, but even if you lose a few balls the course is worth a play.

The tee times were to close to enjoy the course. The course is run to see how many players they can squeeze into a one hour slot. A public course based upon profit verses value paid.
No ball washers at the tee boxes!

I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting San Antonio.....

The course was great but we did not finish our round because of the people in front of us. They were horrible and would not let us play through. There was no course marshall to move these people along or tell them to let us through. Every time we pulled up close to them they would drive off. Finally on hole 13 after waiting 20 minutes to hit our tee shot, we decided to leave. This is the only thing I see they could improve on at this course.

I have played this course 100 times since it opened. It is one of my favorite courses in San Antonio. The staff is excellent and the course is always in great shape. Demanding course based on your tee box selection. Accuracy off the tee box is a must to score well. Greens are very true and speedy with lots of undulations to account for.

I have been playing CS for 4 years now, it's one of the best courses in San Antonio the layout is Awesome and the Greens are good! However it has the worst practice facility I've seen, the Chipping area is BAD,you can't have light ruff as your green,the putting green only has poles with no actual holes that's the sign of not having someone with the skills of taking care of another green! And the Driving range itself is really poor!

Had alot of fun playing at canyon springs. Golf now was a smooth transaction. Traveled from houston to San Antonio and cant wait to do it again..

Greens needed mowing. Worst golf carts in San Antonio. 30 minute backup at turn. Layout great. fairways very good.

Noticed disappointing changes such as range balls not included w green fee like they had for quite a few years. Can no longer take your cart to your car to pick up nor leave your clubs. Practice putting area closed, w no sign indicating this. Found this out when starter yelled at me not to enter it.
Grounds keepers need to be reminded not to get in the way of persons playing

Greens were slow but not as slow as play. We had a fivesome in front of us all day. We waited on every shot. When situation was brought to the attenion of pro shop we got little satisfaction. This is after we got two separate videos on their gps system explaining to us how slow play elimination was their goal. Did not see a ranger on the course all day.

My luck, the greens were being prepared for summer most of the greens had light sand but some had too much, so forget about putting.

Great day in San Antonio; Courses was in good condtion but greens a little slow. Overall pace of play much improved starting on back nine start, Look forward to playing again at Canyon Springs.
