Much improved golf course

I hadn’t played this course in many months, what a surprise to see all the new improvements, new shrubs and plants, new signage on the tee’s, soft sand in the bunkers...only the greens need a little more work to make this one of the best in the area.

For me this is a hidden gem. Its really nicely presented, the greens and lovely and it's cheap. I can not get enough of this course and I will continue to keep going and one day I might make par round the course haha.

Lovely course that has improved over the years

Played this for the first time in 20 years (I was a junior member many years ago) and was very impressed with the new course layout, as well as the condition or the course. Played on a friday morning and it was quiet and got around quickly. Some challenging par 3's and 4's and an impressive par 5 9th/18th. Greens weren't immaculate, but were in very decent condition. Lovely little course.

The course

Probably the best 9 hole course i have played greens excellent well set out maybe the first is bit misleading re fairways as its close to think its the fifth coming back adjacent to it, We played day after a real heavy rain day and as to be expected was wet in places, will def return.

Challenging

Played only 1 week after the heavy winter rain, the course was in fairly good condition. Looking at the course card you would think it was going to be easy! No a strategy is required to deal with the hills and slopping fairways, prevailing wind and what looks like tricky greens. I played with 3 (3 day members) for the first 9 holes very friendly and helpful. I only pared 4 holes with 30 points total. I will play this course again in the summer. looks like they have some good membership options at this club.
