Good value for price
Great course for price. I have yet to get a par but have found a ton of balls looking for mine
Fair price for decent course
I am a civilian and needed to get visitor pass. You must submit for visitor pass 72 hrs prior to your tee time. Also give time least 30mins to 1 hr at visitor center to get your pass. I was late by 1 hr.
Pro-shop was very understanding to my situation and gave me tee time right away. Fairways are pretty wide open. Green are bit fast and somewhat decent kept. I suppose for price $10-15 this course isn't bad. This course is also good for beginners or squeeze 9 holes after your work day.
Needs Work
The course looks nice from a distance but you will quickly notice the terrible irrigation, the poor bridges, and the sad attempt at making the course harder by using illegal pin locations throughout.
The majority of the course is hard dirt that doubles as concrete. The greens are either way too fast or way too slow; consistency is something that slipped the mind of the course designer. The sand traps are a combination of mud and kitty litter and the tee boxes are never level.
All in all, the course gets the job done and $20 for 18 holes with a cart is hard to beat. If they could get grass to grow and start to manicure the course a bit more, it would be much more fun to play.
Nice and affordable
There are no concessions or drink refreshment rovers so plan ahead. Just clubhouse crackers and such in the pro shop.
Being in a near drought for a couple years the fairways are beginning to show deterioration and on a couple holes worn to dirt in places.
The greens are in great shape though and the staff is friendly.
You must have a base pass so plan atleast a week ahead.
Could be so much better
I love this course......but they don’t keep it up. Water leaks everywhere.....been there for months.
Fairways need some improvement.Other than that the course is in good condition. The course is a military golf course so you need to acquire a visitor pass to play if you are a civilian.Call the golf course to sponsor you , they are very accommodating to sponsor you.(Kudos to Patti)
Basic course
My wife and I enjoyed playing at this course. We are new golfers and liked the few obstacles and challenges here ... although the steep hill on #9 was indeed challenging. We have played here twice and will return. It is a great value for the money.
This course is fun to play
It was a great day of golf to enjoy with food friends!!! Always a nice place to play especially for the price.
Course needs a little work but the greens are very good.
Great Value
If you're looking for a well-maintained course at rock-bottom prices, look no further than Gateway Hills. Active duty military, dependents, and veterans with ID can access JBSA freely. Civilians must stop at the Visitor's Center. Everything about this place is very nice.
Awesome, challenging course
Can’t beat the views!!!!
This course will definitely test your skills!!! I recommend this course to everyone.
The course is in great shape
Greens are excellent. They are very slow. Need to speed them up.
