Gatton Manor Hotel Golf & Country Club

Greeting by the staff was very good and very quiet with not many people on the course which made it a pleasant afternoon. Would play again but maybe a little cooler.

Played a Sunday (non member) three ball. Looking for a cheaper option and £40 a player I wasn’t expecting this much quality. Was the first out of the day (7:30am) and the conditions of the course were fantastic. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were brilliant the whole way round.

As the main clubhouse is under construction, you’re not gonna get food after but the little pop up club shop offers everything you need pre and post round. Really enjoyed it and we’ll be back soon.

Stunning course, well laid out. Very challenging and extremely quick greens.

I played this course with my golf society many moons ago, when we were fit enough to do 18 in the a.m. and a Texas scarmble p.m. (Those days are long gone)

I remember it as a lovely course from that long ago time, and I wasn't disappointed, haven't had a more pleasant round of golf in a very long time.

Chatted to the Club captain afterwards over a beer, and he said that although the club has had some ownership issues in the past, evrything is now settled, and that shows in the quality of the course.

We will be back.

Four ball society , who were all clueless , no etiquette but nice enough. Meant a two ball booked following on from them were dead in the water after nine holes. Even though we gave them a 45 minute start by staying in the lounge area and enjoying a sunny afternoon.

Great shame but understand the difficulties of societies for the club and members .

Enjoyed my first round at Gatton Manor.

Course is in good condition with true greens, and a mix of holes; good par 3's, challenging 4's and long 5's. Good variety.

Gatton manor..if there is cash to improve and invest has the potential to be a very very good course. Its a hidden gem. Course layout is fantastic. Greens are good. Tee boxes poor. Fairways not too bad. It needs investment in terms ofca clubhouse and fresh ideas. A great course potential. Hidden gem potential

Not played here for over 10 years.

The course was in great condition the tees fairways and greens very good.

Could do with some money being spent on the bridges etc as they are starting to deteriorate.

Hotel is derelict but was told the owner is planning on a refurb.

Was worth the money tho just for the golf…

Not for the high handicapper ,tough course ,tricky greens ,shame clubhouse not open ,very quiet had no golfers behind us or in front midday on a Sunday

Great course, friendly staff, the main house is under renovation, but golf reception is nice for a post round bevvy.

Really enjoyed this very scenic course. Course maintenance underway so the greens were a bit rough but will get better. Staff excellent in pro shop. Loved the day.

Some great holes, loads of variation. You'll use every club in your bag, great walk too as scenery is great.

It's good for all standards, as fairly wide fairways but for the better players there's challenge there too.

Down side - boggy in patches, bunkers out of play (when i played in feb) but doesn't takeaway from the experience. Does need investment but for the money it's excellent.

Reception/front of house staff, disappointingly one of the staff members is far from welcoming abrupt and unfriendly. She would definitely benefit from a customer service course, (sadly I believe she was the manager). The other staff member was the complete opposite. Having played at Gatton a few times the potential is there to see, this could be an amazing course. However sadly appears somewhat neglected, the bare minimum is obviously carried out by the green staff just to keep the course in a playable condition. (5/10)

Great course, friendly staff and members really chatty. Clubhouse is due to be refurbished so it's closed at the moment. Still able to get drinks and a warm sausage roll.

Although not long, the course is very challenging and was in beautiful condition. We played at 2 p.m. and only saw 3 other golfers on the course. For the money (excellent value), this is one of the best courses I have played. Just a shame that the bar was closed when we finished at 6.15 p.m.
