All 1 star due to being turned away after making a booking
Well I cannot give any stars due to the fact that I booked and was turned away.
They are part of GolfNow which I booked through a 4 ball only to be rudely told that GolfNow do not have access to their booking system. Person behind the till was rude about the situation and said just contact golfnow to see if you could get refunded which till now we haven’t.
So truth be told I wouldn’t know the state of the course, pace of play and course conditions but I can comment on staff friendliness and value for money as being null.
Godstone booking
Golf Now had not e-mailed the course, as the course didn’t know anything about my booking with.
Hence my tee time had gone, they did let us play
Overbooked and waiting 10mins per hole, course is good, shame about the wait!
First time at Godstone and despite pretty much zero amenities and limited parking, the course itself is pretty good. Unfortunately they had overbooked by a long way which meant despite being only 2 balls the wait to tee-off was pretty much 10-15mins per hole. As a result, we only completed 6 holes in just over two hours. Would go back if they sort out the scheduling issues as a nice course.
Great for a quick 9-hole after work!
This is a great course for a quick round after work. Well maintained, fairly challenging and not crowded! Would recommend.
Well maintained, no hassle golf
Played here many times, 9 and 18 holes. Facilities are a little sparse, basic supplies (tees, drinks, etc.) available and could do with a practice net in addition to putting and chipping areas, but in terms of being able to turn up and play I've not been to anywhere better. Fairways are always in good condition and the greens are always absolutely immaculate. As a novice the course still has it's challenges, from the undulating Par 5 3rd hole to the 8th Par 3 across a small lake. It can get busy during peak hours as with any course but off peak hours have less than a handful of people on the whole course.
Great value for money and as enjoyable for a beginner as it would be for a more experienced player.
Perfect Post-Work 9 Holes
This course is ideal for a quick 9 holes after work. But would also be great for playing at the weekend.
