Surrey National Golf Club

This was our first time playing here as a threeball but the course was in great condition given the time of year.

- Tee boxes were flat and in good condition

- Greens were a little bobbly but ran well

- The fairways were a little boggy but that is to be expected this time of year

- The F9 was very quick pace of play but the B9 was slow as a fourball jumped on in front of us on the 10th.

Greens in good nick. Tee boxes pretty good. Bunkers a bit wet borderline unplayable after rain day before. Good layout with some interesting holes. Challenging but accommodating course for handicap players. Not overly long and offline tee shots playable. Well appointed clubhouse and bar. Friendly staff. Overall very good experience.

Good course is good condition. Some tricky holes due to terrain , some hilly holes. Is quite long walk with the hills. Pleased with the course and think it’s good value for money.

Highly recommend this course , the layout and views are stunning , a bit hilly but worth it , only downside was the price of the buggies at £42 its the only thing that let's the course down .

Really good course with great layout. Quite hilly so would recommend a buggy. Bunkers were a little hard but otherwise would definitely recommend.

Really enjoyed the course. Plenty of interesting and challenging holes, sloping fairways and excellent fairly fast yet immaculate greens. Quite forgiving and recoverable in most holes if a bit wayward off the tee. The bunkers were in good condition; I know because I was in them on 10 of the holes! Will play again now I know the course layout.

Most courses are very dry this time of year, but not here. Was great to play.

It’s very hilly! Tough challenge for us walking golfers👍🏼

Played here for the first time and I would put the course easily as one of the best I've ever played around London. Very diverse holes, good sand, nice water obstacles, great green conditions.

Seems that at least on weekends they try to fill every slot with a 4 ball. I'm not a fan of that approach especially given that the tee time for 2 people was 114 pounds. As a result, the play was very slow, took us well over 5h to finish the 18 holes.

Also, while amenities are great - there's even a food buggy passing by the holes - the rest room facilities were below par and should be cleaned more frequently...

2nd time playing the course, in my opinion it has everything. It is very scenic with some lovely natural landscapes, hills, trees, lakes and is in a valley which has some nice views.

The course is fairly challenging and makes the average golfer think a bit more than normal, but for me this is a positive expereience where I enjoy testing myself in new situations. The course management was exceptional, really well cut fairways and greens. Well worth the money at any price!

Enjoyed a round at Surrey National. Easy to book through Golf Now at a decent rate. Phoned to book a buggy and staff were quick and happy to assist. Lovely staff onsite as were the members we chatted to. Pace of play for back 9 was very slow due to matches 3 tee offs ahead. Course in good condition and good to play with some great holes. Will be back.

This course is hilly and scenic. The greens were in excellent condition when we played it and the only improvement we might suggest is better signage from one hole to the next. Since we last played there are markers on the tees that say how long the hole is, but these are only visible once one arrives at the tee itself. So a large numbering to indicate what hole you are on, and visible from near the previous green, would be a help. Some of the holes, and particularly the last one, could grace Championship courses.

Very good value, reasonable condition of fairways considering the hot weather we've had, greens excellent condition
