Has potential to be an amazing course
The course has the potential to be amazing but it was expensive(£100 for 4) considering a few greens were temporary, a lot of work was happening on the course and the fairways needed cutting.
Mattress greens
We played this course today after several weeks of wet weather, but this course takes “wet conditions” to a completely different level.
Every single fairway was sloppy and slippery, with the ball plunging into the ground and making it extremely difficult to even find your ball in the middle of the fairway.
The greens were absolutely unplayable. They were so saturated that they felt like quicksand — even on par 3s your ball would completely plug into the surface. Walking on them felt like walking on a mattress due to how waterlogged they were.
We played mid-morning and the greens had already been walked over all morning, leaving footprints everywhere and making it impossible to roll a straight putt.
In my opinion the course should not have been open today. Unfortunately it ended up being a complete waste of time and money
Very quiet
Had a nice round , greens were spongy, but greenkeepers had done a really good job with the course after all the rain we have had ,
The lady in the club house was friendly, and very welcoming
Well kept
Considering winter conditions the course was pretty good
Played Sunday
Got a phone call Sunday morning explaining that due to conditions, there would be no trolleys, winter mats, or bunker guards. That's okay, no worries.
However, I saw a group of seven playing together as a family with trolleys. When I questioned the marshal, they didn't care one bit.
Very unprofessional.
Closed club !
I had booked and paid for a 3 ball. We showed up to find out the course was shut due to snow throughout the night. We wasn’t notified by anyone from the club or GolfNow, hopefully we can rearrange a date or get a refund!
Excellent value for money
Great track for under £25. The course would benefit from people replacing their divots; especially on tee boxes. Incredibly poor etiquette! The staff are wonderful!! A few ball cleaners on each 9 would be appreciated. Overall, a good test of golf at a great price.
Shame about the temporary tees
Played here lots of times and really like the course.
The course has held up well of Xmas but it would have been nice to have been told that all 18 tee boxes were temporary and with over half of them not being able to get a tee into, I found it a little frustrating
Nice course, open fairways
Played here a few weeks back and thought it was generally a nice course so came back again using the hot deals. Nice open fairways, friendly staff and some really nice holes.
I would imagine it doesn't play great in the winter but for the price still worth it.
Driving range was closed both times I came.
Staff were friendly and you can ring ahead before teeing off the 10th to order food which is a nice touch.
Decent course.
Nice course, nice breakfast before tee off. Friendly staff. Value for money will definitely go back.
Great potential
Was really busy and unfortunately took 4.5hrs just to do 13holes and ended up walking off. Pace of play by beginners was horrendous and was more frustrating than enjoyable as we was waiting over 15mins on most tee boxes. Lovely course but I feel these issues do need to be rectified.
Really Enjoyable Course
Course conditions were excellent for October, greens played nicely, only bad point was the bunkers being a little waterlogged but only went in once. Pace was good until latter end of the round, with the final 4 holes taking well over an hour. Would recommend giving it a go.
Best hidden gem!
One the best courses in this area ans great value for money. Course is superb and really good for getting better at golf. Good course for low handicaps as well. Only bad thing is watch out for 4 ball hackers who don’t play scramble. Really slows up play plus no seems to repair their pitch marks ( as usual for any course in the south east)
No Buggies.
I booked a buggy in advance as I have a medical condition, upon arrival and booking in we we're informed that there wasn't any chance of a buggy due to weather conditions and there was no exception for a medical condition, they said I should have received an email which never happened. As it had taken an hour to get there we decided to go on foot, while waiting we paid for someballs on the range, the ball dispenser broke and eventually a member of staff climbed in and got a basket of balls that we're covered in dry mud so we had to clean each ball before hitting it. Half way through the round we saw other players using buggies, by this time I was feeling unwell due to having to walk and ended up walking back without playing whilst my playing partner finished his round, It's just the fact that other buggies we're in use and I couldn't finish my round when a simple email and a refund would have given us a chance to play elsewhere.
Disappointed
Came with my Dad as a 1 ball, kicked off the course on the 7th hole as he was a non-golfer and 'members' complained about this. I thought it was a public golf course. Please bare in mind, if you are less mobile and need assistance getting to this course, they'll have to sit in the clubhouse for 5 1/2 hours waiting for you to finish. Only go if you can drive and there are no non-golfers. Won't be going back.
Slow play, zero course etiquette from multiple groups.
The slowest round of golf ive ever had the misfortune to play. Shame as its a nice course. The course either needs to widen the gaps between tee time or employ marshals to hurry people up. A 6 hour + round was ridiculous.
