18 holes for two Easter Saturday

First time playing here in a while. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The course is in reasonable condition — the par 3 tee positions are currently closed so play is from mats, but this was clearly mentioned on the app. Greens were ok. The kitchen had closed by 5pm, but we were still able to grab coffee and crisps in the clubhouse, which was a nice touch.”

Tony

Course itself was ok considering all the wet weather, greens very bumpy. Biggest problem was the mats which you couldn't get a tea peg into.

Not good value

£50 in the winter off mats and with all the mud is not good value.

I think they would be better placed at £35, and then I would come back.

First time playing the course thought it probably would be quite good in summer lots of interesting holes but very very muddy. Imagine it will be horrendous across January and February would definitely be somewhere I’d revisit in the summer months not somewhere I’d play again in winter.

Not in great condition.,

Promoted by some as the best draining course in the South East in November it was extremely muddy and sticky so can't imagine what other courses are like at the moment. Ordinarily £34 would be a great price but with winter mats in operation on every hole you would have expected a bit more of a discount. In fairness to the club this is advertised on the website but it doesn't say the mats are on "every" hole. Fairways are like semi rough at the moment although that may be protection because of the dampness. Greens however are very good especially for the time of year. At it's best the course is very good but it's unpredictable with Bletchingley as winter months are very muddy and some summer months it can be barren and dry, that said it is a good course to play at its best. The clubhouse and facilities are decent and the food is good in the clubhouse and there is a these days rare half way house that is open with decent hours.

Great course

Really enjoy this course, some long straight holes, but also a few challenging ones where you need to have a course management view of where is best to play shots to avoid risks. Nice warm up facilities too

Great value just slow play

Lovely course. Even with the dry conditions played very well. I fortunately behind a 3 ball who had two in a buggy yet we waited in every tee box and they had no one in front of them.

Just hoped for better

Second time this year playing. First time was in the spring.

Course was a bit rough this time around, “Play from yellow tees” why? Because the tee boxes were in shambles. The greens were very good, and I’ll give them credit. Yet, a 10’x10’ are to maintain for tee boxes is not difficult.

Shame, course is a tough track actually. Had the potential to be pure class.

Tee boxes are non existent!

Great value for money. I got my round for £16 which really is incredible when you think about playing each hole for less than a pound!

A few negatives though. The tee boxes are a shambles! There literally no grass on about 15 of the tee boxes. The one thing you want to see when you arrive to the first hole is a fresh tee box. Here, you’re hitting off dust and dry mud. It’s a real shame because Most of them are like that. I hope towards the end of august/september, they close the tee boxes to lay some new turf so they can get some end of summer sun and start to heal.

The greens need cutting, it’s a bit too long at the moment, which you don’t expect in July. I played this course last year and the greens were unreal, like really fast and challenging. Maybe they’re going to cut them soon but make them great again!

The last thing I want to mention is the shop. The really nice man working there wouldn’t let us have buggies at 3.30pm tee time. He said it’s due to weather the bar will remain open based on amount of afternoon/evening tee times. I think this is a bad move. We would have been finished easily by 6.30 had we had a buggy and I don’t think that’s too late, for two buggies I’m assuming they charge about £30-£40 each but they’ve easily just lost £80, which could go towards sorting their tee boxes out!

Nice course overall, but a bit of watering and love and attention, this place could be unreal!

Excellent Greens for heatwave

Turned up for a late afternoon round in June 25. Course was lovely as we expected it to be with very very dry fairway with no grass. Every course around is the same so knew what we were having. Greens though were superb. Well maintained and ran lovely. Very good price for a great track.

Great Welcome

The welcome by the staff was exceptional!! Especially the man who greeted me in the Pro Shop. Very friendly, some great tips about playing the course.

Course was a challenge, more to do with my golf than anything else.

In good condition, especially the greens.

Great value, twilight round!!

Will recommend to friends, and will definitely be back.

Many thanks,

Mark
