Long and uninteresting
1st visit to Grange, and very disappointed!Very long, flat and uninteresting course with regular muddy and moss covered fairways!
Highly unlikely to revisit this course despite reduced green fee paid!
Would prefer to “ hike” round its sister course ( Grange fell) as it has more character & challenges to overcome for the same price!!
Fun and varied course
Really enjoyed this course. Teed off at 7:30am on a Sunday so unfortunately there were no staff around and the clubhouse/pro shop wasn’t open yet. Fun course with a nice variation of holes. Doglegs, par 5s etc. Would definitely play again when I’m next in the area.
Great Quality Course
Really enjoyed playing Grange Over Sands for the first time. It was an extremely hot day with temperatures around 86 degrees but the course was very flat and easy walking
Course in excellent condition although many greens had just been sanded but still putted very well.
Staff both in Pro Shop, Nick Lowe the professional and the bar staff were all extremely welcoming and friendly.
A thoroughly enjoyable experience and a course I would thoroughly recommend
Very friendly and helpful club house and pro shop staff. The course is well laid out and very tight in places. What it lacks in length it makes up for in tight lines. The greens were parched and brown in places and I suspect there may be problems with the watering system. A flat and easy walking course that I would be happy to visit again.
Little Gem
For the advanced in age golfer this course is a little gem. The course is nice and flat and easy to get around, but it is a good test for all levels.
First time on grange over sands
It would be harsh to say I wouldn’t recommend this course as it might have just been my preference that didn’t suit! It’s very basic and flat with not much challenge, this might be perfect for someone else! It seemed very bare and I don’t think the cost justified the play. I don’t think I’ll be rushing back any time soon.
Enjoyable fourball
Played Sunday morning in cold but dry conditions very friendly club.course was in excellent condition for time of year easy waking In a beautiful part of the country..will definitely play again and would recommend
Great challenging course.
Great course, kept in good condition for the start of the year. Was enjoyable to play just wish there was trees around the hole then I’d have a chance getting the ball close to the pin. Spent move of time in trees but didn’t spoil the day in sun!
Excellent course
Fantastic course, first time I played
Lots of features
Staff and players very friendly
Unbelievable excellent value for money
Travelled from Fleetwood was not disappointed will definatley be returning
Lovely course
Loved the course some very tricky small greens. Only issue was the standing water on a couple of fairways due to the previous days rain.
Sunny September Morning
Great course and really well kept. Booked through Golf Now and was disappointed that the club shop wasn’t open for the start of our round at 7am but wasn’t the end of the world. My friend needed to rent a trolley and was unable to do this at that time. One of the grounds men very kindly lent us his own personal trolly which he didn’t have to do. This just goes to show what the staff are like. Very kind, friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this course and will be playing again in the near future. Thanks.
Good course in beautiful condition
Despite being close to the sea this is not a links but a parkland course. It is completely flat and the majority of fairways are wide and most of the rough, particularly through the centre of the course is cut short. Many of the trees are quite widely spaced and the greens have very little borrow. On the day I played there was only a gentle breeze and so the course played quite easy. However, with a stiff sea breeze I imagine that would make Grange a much tougher challenge.
The course was in beautiful condition. With the exception of a couple of greens They were all running at the same speed, moderately quick and true.
The staff and the members were all very friendly and helpful. Grange-over-sands provided a really enjoyable and memorable game of golf.
Good test of golf
Very pleasant golf course for all handicaps.
We would recommend this course to anyone,
If we lived in the area we would be delighted to call this course home.
The greens and course were in wonderful condition.
We will certainly return.
